This is a really beautiful waterfall, with its fountain-like cascades surrounded by high cliff walls and lush greenery. If you're not inclined to hike, you can get great views of the falls just off the parking lot, but if you are up for a hike, you can continue downwards pass the wooden walkway to the left to make your way to the base of the falls for more photogenic views. There were families with young children hiking to the foot of the falls and they seemed to be having a lot of fun, so this place is great both for enjoying natural beauty and amusing the kiddies.

Parking was $4 when we went (early August). There are also more hiking trails to the right of the falls and picnic benches scattered around.

Aside from the obvious beauty of the waterfall, the falls have an amazing history which is well portrayed on pictorial information boards. We saw it mid summer with just a moderate flow and it was beautiful then, it must be amazing during the snow melt!

If you see nothing else in Owen Sound, you should see Inglis Falls. It's the place we always take visitors. You get a real sense of the Niagara Escarpment with an 18 metre drop here. Looking north down the valley you get a sense of what the area would have looked like 100 years ago. There are many trails in the area for hiking. It's part of a 200-hectare conservation area. There's a small parking fee in the summer.

this is a great place for a quite picnic spot with family or friends . Trails for walking or strolling , their is a small charge for parking , a visitors information site showing the original purpose of the falls (milling) with an original millers wheel. In winter cross country ski trails.

A very scenic spot close to Harrison Park another treasure place in Owen Sound.

This is a place I have visited often for with family and friends, living in the area makes this place a frequent and convenient place to visit .

Hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

Owen Sound is home to many wonderful attractions, Inglis Falls being in the top 10 .. Take in the spectacular view of the falls. Hike one of the many trails ( 4 kl loop for beginners, and longer for those seasoned hikers ) . Don't miss the boardwalk trail just off of the picnic area to see some local wild life.
Fall is a particularly pretty time to visit.
Lots of parking, although there is a charge during peak season.
Bring a lunch and binoculars !
