Susan is an accommodating proprietress who makes you feel right at home. Produce from her sizeable back garden is part of your breakfast. Ours, for example, consisted of scrambled eggs with fresh herbs, tomatoes, and cucumbers from the garden, homemade cranberry muffins, whole wheat toast, good coffee and tea, and pleasant conversation. We stayed in the clean, comfortable, and cozy Bay Room right next to the upper sun porch. I can't say exactly why, but it agreeably reminded me of overnights at Grandma's when I was a lad. The location of 40 Bay Street is convenient. We walked to Wellington's for dinner in a matter of minutes, then strolled down to the pier to check out the cruise ship and the float planes, and wrapped up the evening with a sunset walk along the fitness trail which begins near the Bobby Orr Hall of Fame Museum. We definitely plan to stay here again when traveling to this part of Georgian Bay.
In another review I noticed that someone's sleep was disturbed by trains passing over the nearby trestle. I wasn't bothered because comfortable earplugs are part of my standard travel kit. My wife slept soundly without them.
