Hotel & Room was clean - Staff was cheeful - & helpful - Wireless Internet was fast & easy to use - was less expensive than the Markham Holiday Inn - & the Room & Hotel was nicer - with eco friendly soap dispensers in the bathroom - which was appreciated.

Room Tip: Ask for a room close to the Health Club

Stayed here Mid Jan for a hockey tournament, 13 teams in total staying in the hotel. We over run the place however noise subsided by 1130 pm. We booked an effiecency suite just for more space. Room is worn but fine for a hockey team visiting. Ce to have the Tim's in the attached parking lot. Wouldn't stay otherwise. Staff were great. Pool is a bit small.

Unassuming on the outside and even more so once you entered. No elevators and 3 levels so you had better pack light. Looked at 3 rooms before one was found that was satifactory. We were in the area for a medical appointment but next time will go to the Sheraton next door. The room was dated but clean and the staff were helpful. Front desk exhibited great patience in helping us find a room at check in. Saving grace was the walkway to Starbucks and great restaurant at the Sheraton.

This hotel was booked for myself and my colleagues who were attending a conference at the nearby Le Parc. The hotel KNEW we were coming and how many were coming to stay and eat dinner there. (We were given food vouchers, paid for by our Union upon check in)
The room: I have had better in some of the third world countries I have traveled to,enough said!
Dinner service: Awful, awful, awful! We waited 2 and a half hours for dinner, had to get our own water from the bar,no offer of refills on any drink we ordered. When the food arrived it was totally substandard! They should have paid us (5 at our table) to eat there.
Final word: i spent 25 years in the service industry, prior to my current career......the whole way of doing business at this venue is just wrong! My Union should receive a rebate on the monies they paid on our behalf!

Room Tip: Just don't go....there are no good rooms!

When we arrived in Toronto, it was right before Hurricane Sandy swept through. It got quite windy and wet, but nowhere near what the rest of the east coast experienced.

We were attending a conference at the Sheraton, which is connected to the Best Western. Guests who stay at the Best Western can use the facilities at the Sheraton, and it is quite convenient to move between both hotels.

(The food court under the Sheraton is quite disappointing. There are better restaurants all around the area. More on that later.)

The Best Western is a bit far from downtown Toronto, and public transportation options are rather slim. There are busses to downtown, and a train, but to coordinate everything to get there is a bit of a challenge.

That being said, it's not a bad place to stay. It's near the freeways to get down to Toronto, and it's away from the craziness of staying downtown. Plus, a lot of support businesses have sprung up right across the street. Several restaurants are now there, full-service options that are walking distance. Plus, there is a small collection of Asian restaurants across a different street that are quite good. A 24-hour Tim Horton's is in the parking lot of the hotel.

There is a full-service spa in the hotel. We did not visit it, but it looked well stocked.

Our room had two double beds, and rooms with one king bed are available. However, we very much appreciated the fridge and microwave, plus the free WiFi. Even when we had a problem with connectivity, there was a tech reachable via phone.

The room was well cared for and comfortable, and everything was clean.

Would I stay here again? Sure. It beats a lot of the prices for downtown Toronto. Plus, the restaurants around it are quite good, parking is plentiful and free, and the place is comfortable. However, if I were going to Toronto for a ballgame, it might be a tad too far.
