I drive by this place almost every day, and I finally decided to take the plunge and took my family to Rooster Cookhouse. We were not disappointed.
The inside is a cross between a local cozy diner with friendly regulars having a nice meal, and a local pub with a few regulars sitting at the small bar area enjoying a beer. It's nothing fancy, but has a nice atmosphere. Parking is in the rear (shared with the bowling alley, I believe).
The food was outstanding. Big portions. Small prices. We spoke to 2 different waitresses that night and they both were most helpful and made us feel very welcome.
The only thing this place needs helps with is with their dessert menu. They don't have one. That's right, they have nothing for dessert whatsoever. (At least we never seen it, and nothing was offered.)
With all that being said, we all agreed that we will definitely be going back to Rooster Cookhouse on a regular basis.
