“Good Layover”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 13, 2009

We had a layover in Montreal so we booked this hotel for the night. It was great for purposes like this, but not sure if I would spend more than one or two nights there. Shuttle takes forever from the airport, and no food is available at the hotel past 10 pm. Not even from a vending machine. It would be nice if they at least had bar food available, or a vending machine. We left the next morning before the breakfast started, so we didn't eat there at all. Rooms were nice, clean, comfortable. Virtually perfect accommodations for an airport hotel. Would be nice if they had food though.

  • Liked — Clean and comfortable, close to airport
  • Disliked — No food!

After a long week travelling around the USA, a scheduling mix-up saw me arrive in Montreal a day early. In need of a solid sleep, there was no way I was spending my layover hanging around the airport.

I contacted the Travelodge but they were booked - I'm glad as it meant I discovered the Best Western.

- Free airport shuttle (24h)
- Quick check in/out
- Room and bathroom were spotless
- Bed was huge and comfortable
- Complimentary breakfast next morning was good size

I ended up extending my stay and spent nearly the entire 24 hours of my layover chilling in the room. Returned to the airport the following night relaxed and fully refreshed.

Great hotel for travellers - I'll be back.

Stayed one night after flying in from Amsterdam. Hotel shuttle arrived fairly quickly and transfer is very short.

Room was exactly as the photo. Very spacious, comfortable and quiet. The bathroom was minute with the handbasin in the bedroom, but spotless.

We ate in the restaurant for convenience and the food was pretty good. For an airport hotel it was reasonably priced.

Would stay again.

  • Liked — Convenient for airport.
  • Disliked — Reception staff quite dour.

Greetings fellow travelers, for the past 2 years, I have been travelling a lot from Montréal to the US and other countries and everytime I board the plane in Dorval, I go to that place.

First, the place is very well located, it's a very short ride to the airport and about a 5 minute walk from a shopping mall with plenty of restaurants around it. Second, the prices are very affordable for all budgets. Third, the place is clean, you wont find any unpleasant surprises once you will get to your room. You will never be disapointed with the bed sheets or the bath, the place is almost shining! To finish up, this hotel is extremely quiet, you are sure to have a great night sleep, the shuttle service is extremely reliable and they offer free internet in every room. Only thing I can say against them is, well not that the staff is rude but they could be a little bit more friendly. Anyways, this place is without a doubt my favorite place to stay around Dorval. Don't hesitate to book there! Feel free to contact me if necessary!

Nice rooms, bathroom small but the location, shuttle and breakfast are why you stay here. Good quality, friendly staff, etc. Perfect for a layover.

2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 21, 2008

My sister and I stayed at this resort prior to an early morning flight. Here are my thoughts:

room: Clean and very comfy bed. The bathroom was ridiculously small however, with the towel rack INSIDE the bathtub/shower enclosure. This meant you had to take the towels off the rack and set them on the toilet, as there was no where else to lay them in the bathroom. A very strange and annoying layout for a bathroom, IMO. THere was also no channel guide, which made channel surfing a challenge (over 100 channels).

restaurant: Good food, but overpriced. I spent $30 for an entree. Due to the location of the hotel, you couldn't walk to any eating establishments, so you were basically stuck eating in their restaurant or ordering in. Not many entrees listed for under $20. It would have been nice to have some cheaper alternatives on the menu.

Pool: Almost non-existent (very small)..didn't even bother getting in it for this reason.

Breakfast: We had an early morning flight, and were up waiting for the shuttle by 5am. Breakfast didn't start until 6am. This annoyed me, as surely the hotel could at least set out some muffins and juice for early rising guests. The free breakfast was one of the reasons we picked this hotel, and we weren't even able to eat! Instead I had to spend money at the airport to eat before my flight.

Shuttles: good.

Service: average.

I don't think I"d stay at this hotel again. I was really disappointed with several aspects of my stay, and feel that I could do much better at another hotel (and likely at a cheaper price).

  • Liked — close to airport
  • Disliked — high priced food and no breakfast prior to 6am

We stayed at this hotel for one night. The hotel is fairly easy to find. People at the front desk were friendly and helpful, the room was extremely clean, the faucets in the sink and shower sparkled!!! The bed was clean and almost comfortable. Continental breakfast was sufficent - if a person wanted something more - that could be ordered for a small price. In all, a pleasant stay.
