When we walked in I thought that it looked a little like a cafeteria in a railway station without a great deal of thought put into atmosphere. This changed completely when the food arrived - fantastic. It is one of those places where the food takes over everything and there is an excellent wine selection to boot. Don't be fooled by appearances - it's fabulous.

The food was expertly created, with delicious flavours. The decor was fresh and comfortable. Bright during the day, cozy in the evening.

We went to Crazy Weed for my son's birthday. He is gluten-free and dairy-free (as is his mother). They accomodated them quite well and the food was exquisite! We'll definitely be back.

This restaurant came highly recommended and we could see why - from the outset we enjoyed the ambiance, our great server and then the food. Oh! The food!

Our party ordered a mixture of small plates - after struggling to choose from the tasty options offered. These were really good and more than adequate in size to appease four hungry people who still had the entrees to come. The entrees were delicious and varied - satisfying all our palates - a feat not always achieved. It's a small menu that covers a large range.

Our server was fun, friendly and helpful and more than accommodating regarding our wine choice. Our party included some wine boffs and they were most impressed with the selection available and the way in which queries were dealt with.

Inexpensive it is not - but well worth the price. Overall a great experience - we may need to move to Canmore!

Our intention in our travel's are to try the a couple of top 10 restaurants wherever we stay. This time our getaway was to Canmore. Our first restaurant which is rated 9th is the Crazyweed Kitchen.
From the reviews, we got the impression that the Crazyweed was more of a fine dining restaurant. But upon arriving, the atmosphere was loud and more of a pub crowd. Thankfully, we were whisked away to a small table back behind a wall, but unfortunately, the noise from the kitchen, washing and clanging of dishes took away from the ambiance we were expecting.
We ordered the scallops and caesar salad for our apps. The scallops were cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious. Probably some of the best we have tasted. Caesar salad was very good as well.
For main I had the Jerk Chicken and my wife had the Halibut special for the day. At first the Chicken and mango salsa tasted awesome, but after getting half way through it the heat from the spices overtook any other flavours. As for the Halibut, it was served on a Morocan style sauce with olives. somehow, the combination just didn't make sense. From the salad and the scallops, we know that there was more good food to be had, i guess we just didn't order the right thing this time.
