Listed as a top choice in Lonely Planet, we thought we'd check this out.
The food was great - but the girls on the door had no idea how many tables were available or how long it would be before we would get a table. Whilst we sat there (told 20 minutes) more groups came in and were told 20 minutes, half an hour or 1 hour... at different times, by different front of house girls.
We were told it would be a half hour before our meals came out - because they were so busy. I couldn't work out why because the outside area was closed (rain / hail that day) so surely they only had half the patrons. Regardless, we ordered an entrée hoping to get that and sit on it, with a glass of wine, before our mains were ready. Our mains arrived after half an hour. No entrée. The waitress was extremely apologetic, and we got free desserts - but in general this restaurant looked like it was being run and staffed by people who'd never worked there before.
Our steaks were cooked to perfection however and the wine list is ample. Check it out on a quiet day perhaps - I'm not sure if the floods had every shaken - but I'm sure they could do better.
