2 bedrooms and a pullout.. great for families and friends. 2 stories. Nice enough decor. Close to centre of Canmore. Nice little balcony. 2 showers which was really great and a powder room. And laundry washer and dryer in the unit.

For all those people complaining about check-in, it says on your booking form and on their website exactly where to check-in and there is endless parking space within less than 100m in almost any direction of the lodge. Fantastic space to stay with a group of friends, the lodge was clean and benefited from excellent mountain views. We had a great time and would definitely book again if repeating a trip to Banff.
Thanks :)

We stayed in room 208 for two nights and everything about the room was disgustingly dirty. As soon as we arrived we had to contact the front desk to have them send over the cleaners to vacuum and clean the three bathrooms. The whole place looked like it had never been dusted. There were 6 of staying in a 3 bedroom apartment and not once did any of us take off our shoes unless we were climbing into bed. We found condoms, flip flops, eye drops and pencil crayons scattered all over the place. Washer wasn't in working order and kitchen coffee maker had mold in it. The walls need a good scrub and carpets replaced. If we could have found another place to move to we would have been gone within the first 10 minutes. I would never stay at the Fire Mountain Lodge again. The place needs a total scrub!

A family from overseas was visiting and we took them to the Rockies. Renting an apartment hotel seemed to be the best choice. But Fire Mountain lodge was disappointing as the room was not clean and couple of maintenance issues not up to standards.

There is no registration desk nor sufficient signage to indicate that reception is located around the corner at a different hotel. We wandered around for 45 minutes and asked staff who were of no assistance. Phone calls went unanswered. Once we finally found the registration office, we pointed out the need for better signage. This was never done during the week of our stay. I helped three other groups find registration..
We were told that parking was assigned. When we returned that first evening, our spot was taken as were all spots in the lot. The night manager could not say who was parked in our spot as the hotel does not record guests' car information. He said that parking was not assigned.

The next day was given a room key without being asked for some sort of identification.

The condo itself is nice but dirty. Clothes touching the rugs became filthy. It looks like the whole condo was cleaned with the same rag but never rinsed. There were two used condoms under one of the beds.

Not good value.

Room Tip: Do not stay here until management shows it actually cares
