I have to start by saying we were pleasantly surprised by this lodge, it is lovely and huge with so much room and the decor and cleanliness were amazing and you had everything you needed and more which was great as some places only give you 6 of this and 6 of that but this lodge had everything and not white either which was a refreshing change, our car was parked right outside our door which was wonderful and the rooms had tv's in all of them and we had a gas bbq on the balconey which we used, the balconey was a little small but the size of the lodge made up for that, the beds and pillows were cosy but the only thing we found was the duvets are winter duvets and we were roasting we thought there might be a blanket in the drawer for the summer time but there wasen't so we improvised and took the duvet out of the cover and used the cover, we did have air con but it is to loud to keep on all night especially with kids,we also heard water running at 5 am and 6am i thought it was someone up early but my husband said it was the water sprinklers coming on automatic to water the grass, bit early. other than that we had a fab time here and we would most certainly go back. all of canmore is within walking distance which was great.

Room Tip: Ask for an apartment but i think they are all the same.

Greetings to Medicine Hat! Thank you very much for your glowing review. As a Bellstar managed property, we strive to provide exceptional experiences and we are very happy to hear that you had a fantastic time at Fire Mountain Lodge. The Strata Management of Fire Mountain Lodge advised us that the sprinkler timers are set to the early morning hours to minimise evaporation thus to conserve water. We hope to be able to rearrange the timing to get you a better sleep next time. Thank you for your input about the blankets we anticipate finding a solution with our property management. We truly hope to see you again very soon at Fire Mountain Lodge!

Condo was in excellent condition, with fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, TV/cable, etc. Everything was in excellent working order and very clean. Wi-fi was good, but only in some parts of the condo. Easy access from/to Trans Canada Highway. Be sure to bring your cell phone because the office is not staffed 24 hours a day, and if you arrive after hours you will need to call another office to get your key. It was wonderful to have black-out curtains so I could go to bed before the sun set, which can be quite late in the summer in northern latitudes.

Our family stayed here for a short spring getaway away and we had a great time. The suite was very attractive clean, and quiet. It was also well-stocked for self-catering and the beds were quite comfortable. There is a hot tub on site, and we enjoyed that too.

The only real downside for us was the parking. The spaces are ridiculously small and the parking area itself is very cramped. Luckily, it wasn't busy while we were there.

It would also be nice if there were a few restuarants or even a coffee place close by. Maybe someday.

Hi KattBlue,

We are excited that you enjoyed your stay and that you were pleased with the comfort of your clean and quiet suite! We feel sorry, that you discovered the parking as a downside of your stay. Besides the smaller parking spots in our covered parking area, we offer additional open air parking in front of the property. Restaurants are in reach within two blocks, with more on the way! For the first, hot coffee in the morning, we do supply fair trade coffee and a coffee maker in each unit so you may not even wish to leave your cozy suite. We look very much forward to your next visit!!

Was here for a bachelorette party and the accommodations were exactly what we hoped for. Being that it was a three bedroom with 8 girls it fit us perfect. The only few problems that we had were that a few main essentials were missing from the kitchen. When asked for the items the front desk did not help us out! Also they lack an ice machine on the premises.

Hi TashaRY,

Thank you for taking the time to write a review on TripAdvisor. We are happy to hear, that you enjoyed our suites for your Bachelorette party! We do endeavour to respond to guest requests immediately, and are therefore really sorry that your demand for supplies went unheeded. Our property does not offer an ice machine on site. We equipped each suite with its own ice trays in the kitchen fridge freezer to provide an alternative solution. It will be our pleasure to welcome you again for any future celebration: weddings, birthdays, family reunions, or even the short weekend get-away without the little kinks!

Our Family has stayed here for a few years in a row. 2 kids under 6 and 3 adults. There are two bedrooms one with a King sized bed and one with a Queen. Both fully outfitted with Tv's, VERY comfy mattresses and enough room for storage and comfort. There is a laundry room upstairs which is terrific for the kids (they always get so dirty while hiking) and a full bathroom with a pocket door to the one bedroom upstairs as well.

On the main level the kitchen is large and fully furnished. The pots and pans are showing their wear but its not the end of the world to have a half brown, half almost cooked pancake in the morning :) on the first day, it gets a bit old by the end of the week.

There is a small living area and dining table beside the kitchen which works but is a bit tight on rainy days when you don't want to be out on the patio. Our rental had 2 "patio's or balcony's" one covered and one not which was good with some of the gloomier weather we had. The view is of a car sales lot directly below but the mountain scenes aren't ruined by the practicality down below.

All in all we enjoyed our time here but honestly EVERYTHING was so dusty that our allergies were on overdrive for three days as we cleaned and re-cleaned it all. The kids jumped on the bed on the first night and dust was flying everywhere, we opened the curtains and a cloud of dust was let loose, we put our hand down on the counter and a layer of dust would come up on your hand. That was NOT pleasing but again after some cleaning we were settled.

Overall I would recommend this place for families and friends. Lots of fun, beautiful scenery and very reasonable prices.

- last thought - there is no pool or hot tub here which is a downside as many of the surrounding spots have facilities.

Dear Jules142 & family,

We are very happy to see you and your family coming back year after year! We appreciate your inputs and take them very seriously. We will share your comment about the pots & pans with the property management and request replacement. You deserve a fully cooked pancake in the morning!
In regards to the dust you were exposed to – first and foremost, we are really sorry for your experience. We have instructed our Housekeeping team to extra carefully check on dust to avoid problems like yours in the future. Our regularly scheduled deep cleans help us in our endeavours. We appreciate your business and we are looking forward to welcoming you and your family again very soon!
P.S. Did you know that as a Bellstar repeat guest you are entitled to a repeat customer discount? Also we do have a hot tub at Fire Mountain Lodge - the tub is located downstairs, next to the gym. Please ask us for directions at your next stay!

Fire Mountain was beautiful. The hotel was spotless and the room was very modernized. The size was perfect for the few days that we were there. Fully stocked kitchen, huge patio with BBQ and gorgeous interior. I would most definitely suggest this hotel to people.

We've been here before and just love this place! Very classy, and it's a great deal when sharing the rooms with other couples as this means you can have the whole place for less than it would cost if you were renting 3 separate rooms in a hotel. These suites are gorgeous! TVs in the bedrooms and living room, nicely appointed bathrooms, and a very clean, well stocked kitchen. This is good for a large group as it gets very expensive to feed everyone at restaurants all the time, and this way you have the option of dining in or out. They are close to shopping centers and food stores (this is Canmore... it's not exactly huge!) and if you don't feel like driving all the way to Banff for your hot springs adventure then you just go downstairs to the (clean) hot tub that's on-site.
The guy that runs the office is really friendly and super-helpful...sorry, didn't get his name...but any little question or thing you need, he was there for it. Thanks for the top-up on Aveda (SWEET!) bathroom products, by the way!
Overall, I cannot say one bad thing about our stay there, will definitely recommend this resort to anyone who wants to have a luxuriously affordable stay while visiting the Banff/Canmore area.
Oh yeah, there was one minor complaint, there's no ice cubes on site so be prepared to buy your own. Or plan ahead and bring your own ice cube tray (we did) as this may not seem important as you read this, but when you're on holidays and you just finish unpacking and then want to settle down to an ice cold drink...Then it hits home just how important those little cubes can be! Scotch with water? Dash the thought!
We'll be back! Count on it!

Room Tip: Don't forget to use your AMA/CAA card or ask for a better rate if you've stayed there before...
