I loved the convenience of being right in the heart of Canmore coupled with a very rustic "getaway" kind of feeling. The staff were warm and welcoming and truly added to the experience. Fresh-squeeze orange juice, homemade granola and fresh cappuccinos are the little extras that made our stay feel like great value. The artists loft kept us warm and cozy with a gas fireplace, lots of space and a view of the mountains. We are definitely going back!!

It is true that we have the best location in Canmore and a simple but tasty breakfast. And guests love our Miele Coffee Bar. Come back when the snow melts and enjoy our complimentary town bikes. Thank you for taking the time to write a review.

We heard about the Paintbox Lodge by word-of -mouth. We drove to Canmore straight from the ski slopes at Lake Loiuse. We were tired and cold. From the moment we stepped in the door, we knew we'd found an extraordinary place. We were greeted by Gini, a lovely woman who showed us to our room and told us everything we needed to know~and more. Everything was absolutely perfect. The homemade breakfast was the best meal we had on our entire trip! I only have good things to say about this lodge. We are grateful the Paintbox Lodge was a part of our Canadian adventure.

The Paintbox Lodge has all the perks of a hotel with the community feel of a bed and breakfast. We had a great stay! We also reccomend doing a cooking class during your stay. The food was delicious and the class was very informative and entertaining.

Totally and completely wonderful - the personable staff, the accommodation, the location, the excellent breakfasts and the great cooking class. It was bitterly cold outside but we were toasty inside and had a wonderful winter holiday.
Thank you to all involved for creating a unique experience.

Comfortable, homey and a slice of mountain life, the Paintbox delivers an experience that is simply awesome.

Awesome appointed rooms, awesome breakfast (when we arrived they were making homemade granola and the whole place smelled like cinnamon) and an awesome staff who are uber educated and excited about all the awesome adventures that await right out the front door.

Room Tip: all are good.

Very unique decor in each room, nice to have continental bfast and great atmosphere. Also good to borrow movies for the room. Appreciated Kate with her warm and friendly personality. Downtown, so you could walk around and check out all the sites, including the big screen TV outdoors to watch the 2014 winter Olympics.

Glad you enjoyed our small movie library, breakfast and staff. We have a very limited cable selection. Since the Paintbox is located in the heart of downtown, there is always lots going on from our door step and we are happy you stumbled upon the amazing outdoor screen the town of canmore had for our winter carnival and olympic watching. Come back for the Cross Country Skiing and Biathlon World Cups in February 2016 for more outdoor big screen sporting action!
