This hotel was very nice, the rooms were large, and very comfortable. The only negative thing i would say make sure you get to breakfast early, as we were there at 930 am and there was nothing left, and breakfast was available till 11am, and it seems it took them a long time to fill it, or they ran out of food.

Room Tip: the suits are worth their price. the offer laundry, a fireplace, and a comfy bed.

Great restaurant and service. New construction. The first time I stayed there the standard room was extremely small. No soundproofing and we could hear everything going on in the next room in the night... Everything! The second time we had a suite and it was a lot better! I hated the foam mattress topper though.

We stayed two nights in a one bedroom suite and were pleasantly surprised. The suite was spacious, kitchen well equipped, and it was nice to have K-Cups in the room instead of the typical motel drip coffee maker. The included hot breakfast buffet was a nice bonus. We also enjoyed the fact that it is not beside a main road or the railway like many of the other lodges/hotels in Canmore.

I stayed at Windtower 2 nights on a 5 night trip, (night 1 and night 5). The exterior is beautiful, and the surrounding neighbourhood is quite posh and does not seem packed with hotels (more like upmarket condos, and chalets). It feels as if you are in a suburb which is something I value while traveling; to me there is nothing worse then being stuck in a touristic row of hotels.

The lobby and reception area are nice, but hallways connecting to rooms reminded me of airplane connecting tubes. Not bad, just a bit industrial, maybe it's the style of carpet? The room on the first night was fine, decent sized, big screen tv and standard one cup coffee maker, but seemed a little on the basic scale. The rooms were very clean though a little business-like/standard. Desk was small and faced wall which was why I only stayed one night ( I was working from my hotel and preferred a nice desk area with some view). The hotel is very near the train tracks and highway and the first room I had it was loud in the night even with the window shut (220s). The 2nd night I stayed, in the 170s area of the hotel (East side) it was slightly different in the room but made all the difference. A plush red arm chair, a cozy extra blanket on the foot of the bed, a bit larger room with closet to hang things...and the area the room was in very quiet. It was a fair walk from the reception but I liked the seclusion. I liked the 2nd room a great deal and made my overall impression of Windtower extremely positive. The outdoor Jacuzzi is wonderful - though you have to brave the elements for a few meters to get to it. Still, it is nice that the hotel has actual change rooms and showers. The fitness room is excellent and I enjoyed the machines (tv in there too) though wish there was a water cooler and a spray bottle/towels to wipe down machines after. Underground parking for the low price of a fancy latte is also a nice bonus and hot breakfast included (as well as fruit/cereal) I'll be back for sure.

Room Tip: I found being on the south east side was much quieter and the first floor was fine though I didnt ha...

Great stay. After calling ahead, we were allowed to check-in three hours early. Got a discount on the room as part of a wedding party which also included breakfast. Room was small, but clean and newly updated. Breakfast was from 7:30-11am - great times and was decent with some hot foods. Hallways were a bit noisy. Bit far to walk in to town. Would come again!

Room Tip: basic rooms are tiny!

Enjoyed the location. The rooms were much more elaborate than expected. The full kitchen was a surprise! Will definitely stay again. The breakfast included each morning was a bit bland and could have had more variety day to day. I would imagine the walk from the elevator to some of the rooms may be tough for certain guests. I will however be staying again. Looking at returning in early July!

This hotel is fantastic. It's close to the centre of town, new, and includes breakfast! A hot breakfast! Some of the rooms are small, but the stay is always fantastic. We never spend much time in the hotel, we are always out hiking or skiing, or in the hot tub! :)
