“Tough hike, but worth it”
Reviewed July 14, 2013

I am not an experienced trekker so I found the hike up the trail difficult. I actually had to stop and turn around. That being said the surroundings are impressive and I am told the view from the top is unique and worth the trip. I wish I could have made it up the mountain.

“Great day trip”
Reviewed June 27, 2013

Couldn't believe the views from the top. Don't go without a camera, some snacks and water! Also allow yourself some time as the round trip takes longer than expected.

“Amazing views!!”
Reviewed May 9, 2013

If you are in Canmore for the day I would highly recommend taking on this hike. You start out with a heavily forested section with several switchbacks and beautiful scenery. As the trees become more sparse the view into the valley becomes increasingly vast and breathtaking. From this point on the ascent consists of somewhat steep rocky sections which might pose some difficulty if not prepared but otherwise is not terribly challenging. When you reach the peak you are greeted by a spectacular view of Canmore and the surrounding mountains and wilderness which will leave you breathless! Go on a warm sunny day and you will not be disappointed!

Great hike for anyone who doesn't hike regularly, wants a lovely day trip, and wants to be able to walk the next day. ;)

“Up up”
Reviewed March 25, 2013

Great entry-level mountain trek. Above the treeline the wind picks up and near the ridge those with latent height issues might feel a bit wobbly. Take it slow and don't race your air.
