Go up via the left trail (which is a bit harder). Come back via the fire road. At the lake consider going up towards the reservior. Petrographs along the way. Can watch the climbers up close. Parking may be a problem on a weekend. Come early

This is a much used area by locals and people who want a really pretty place for a wedding.
The area has a nice view of the mountains, has a dog off leash area, and the lake is use by many for swimming. The area around has many hiking and biking trails which are great. It is also close to the Nordic Centre where there are rental bikes available and many more trails for exploring.

This is a great little hike for the 'non hikers'. Nice and easy trek up and a beautiful view at the top!
Good for tourists who are not planning on climbing a mountain!!
Usually can spot some mountain climbers or ice climbers at the top too!!

A brilliant place to go for a walk if you just want to get out for a few hours. The harder route is not to difficult, but it does have much better views than the standard route. I would highly recommend taking the harder route and sweating a bit more just for the views! Once at the small lakes/ponds, the colour is brilliant, plus if there are any climbers there, you can sit there and watch them for a while. If you still have some energy, carry on up the mountain past the climbers to the reservoir at the top, beautiful scenery. Then simply take the easy route back down!
