It's hard to single out something remarkable about this hotel, one way or the other. We found that to be a good thing as the price was right and the access to restaurants and shops very easy. Of course, the views are stunning everywhere you turn and the access to the main highway is simple. The hotel was clean, moderately appointed and well suited for a traveler more interested in the Canadian Rockies than the inside of the hotel. One thing we did notice was that they were full for the time we stayed there, always a good sign we believe.

Room Tip: It's a decent place and I doubt one room is better than another. Also we saw big bull moose from...

Econolodge is a good hotel with a fantastic restaurant attached. We have stayed here before and had an excellent time. This time the family 2 rooms away appeared to have about 20 people in the room and young kids running up and down the corridor until late at night and from early morning. Not the hotels fault but the fault of a disrespectful group of east Indian families that congregated in 1 room with no respect for others and little child care skills.

We stayed there during low season in a unit with a kitchen for three nights. We had a dog and a baby with us and it was great. It was a little on the small side for our group but for the price, we couldn't complain. The housekeeping staff there were fantastic and very accommodating with our baby and dog. The location was really great too because we could walk to downtown or the walking trails very easily. The only thing the econolodge could improve on was their decreasing the use of so much styrofoam at breakfast. The breakfast was yum yum.

Room Tip: If you have a dog, ask for a room that faces out towards the alley because then you can easily slip...

Very clean and comfortable - beds were great; I slept really well each night! Lovely touch to have a fireplace in the room. Didn't get a chance to try the Jacuzzi tub but we're booked again for next month so I'll make sure to try it then! The Chez Francois restaurant does wonderful suppers and breakfasts so it's a nice feature of this hotel to have the restaurant in the same building. The free breakfasts are pretty good. The wifi was spotty - as is common in hotels, it was great through the day but got much less reliable between about 6:30-9:30, when everybody's using it at once. This got kind of frustrating at times.

We really enjoyed the room as we had a fireplace and a Jacuzzi tub, which you don't often get in an ordinary room. Also, the front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. The front desk also helped us with dinner ideas.

Room Tip: It was our first time there, so I don't have any tips.

We stayed at the Econo Lodge in Canmore for several days. We were pleasantly surprised with the room which included a jacuzzi tub and a fireplace. It was clean and comfortable with a microwave, fridge, coffeemaker and a small kitchen ( 2 burners, pots, plates, cups, utensils). It had a comfortable bed and a sofa, chair and desk with free internet. The staff were friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay!
