We decided to try the StoneRidge for our annual Canmore trip based on the reviews here and were not disappointed.

The individual suites are absolutely gorgeous and all come with a full kitchen, bath, living room and bedroom. Even the smallest suite is very large and features a pull out couch if needed. The kitchens are great for extended stays, the living rooms feature a 42" lcd tv mounted above a gas fireplace and the bathrooms contain 2 sinks, extremely large walk in shower and bathtub. Even the walk out patio contains a gas grill!

The greatest part of the StoneRidge would have to be the value. If you can take advantage of booking in advance you will save a large portion of your hotel stay and I would recommend it.

One of the downsides to the stay would have to be the location of the resort. The resort is positioned right along the Bow Valley Trail, which is one of the main routes through Canmore. While not an issue if your suite is facing away from the road, there was the occasional loud vehicle or emergency vehicle through the night that interrupted our sleep since we faced towards it.

The other downside would have to be the "Mountain View Room". When booking a suite, you have the option of choosing a "Mountain View" for an extra fee. The room is not guaranteed and you only pay the fee if they have it available at the time. "Luckily" for us they did, and we were placed on the third floor, which just happened to be right in front of a power pole. Now while yes, we did get a wonderful view of the the mountains, including the Three Sisters, the moment would always be disturbed by the giant wooden splotch in front of us.

If you happen to get a suite on the fourth story, this would not be an issue, and you would most likely have one of the most spectacular views in Canmore. Unfortunately as mentioned, you cannot guarantee a room or know ahead of time what floor your "Mountain View" will be on.

Overall I would certainly recommend the StoneRidge to anyone looking for a great stay, especially for families, groups of people or extended stays. For anyone who is a light sleeper and wants a mountain view suite, you may want to explore a few other options.

One thing is for sure, you cannot beat the value of The StoneRidge Mountain Resort!

Room Tip: Book 10 days in advance to save.

We really liked the romm and the underground parking was great on a rainy day and for bringing in your luggage.
Would welcome a stay there again but not on the ground floor mountain view, it's close to the highway and a trifle noisey.
You will love this the amenities and the stay are extremely helpful.
Worth staying at.

Room Tip: Stay above ground level

Very friendly and helpful front desk staff. They were very accomodating of our request for a bit of a later check out and gave us a great dinner recommendation. Loved the style of the suites and thoroughly enjoyed making use of the outdoor pool in the morning. Very happy with the quality and was glad we chose here for our 1st anniversary get-away.

We picked Stoneridge because of all the good reviews and we were not disappointed.
Very easy check in and when we opened the door it has the WHAO Factor.
We were on the top floor and had stunning views.
The 2 bedroomed apartment had everything we needed ,beautiful bedrooms, lovely linens, fantastic bathrooms, gas fire, flat screen Tv and a very well equipped kitchen.
We used the gas BBQ on the balcony every evening, Sobey's supermarket in Canmore had a fantastic selection of lovely fish and meat, we were spoilt for choice.
Best of all we just loaded the dishwasher after dinner, no washing up!!!!
Great washing machine and drier made short work of the laundry.
Used the pool and hot tub despite some snow still around.
Free Internet available.
Only thing I felt missing was I would have liked would have been a safe.
All in all we had a great time and would love to go back.
