“Nice place to be on your Birthday!”
Reviewed March 29, 2011

My Lover, myself & 1 yr old son spent the weekend at this hotel & were very happy with our stay. King Suite + Den was beautifully appointed and had more than enough space for the 3 of us. They supplied a playpen for the baby which was a bonus. The staff we encountered were very friendly and we enjoyed use of the outdoor pool & hot tub. At $318.08 TX INCL, we could not beat it & it was a pleasurable alternative to Banff which is where we normally go...E

I stayed in this hotel for valentines day. I think if you have access to a vehicle Canmore is definitly the place to stay as it is much cheaper in price compared to Banff.
Walking into this place I was already amazed. It was clean!
Our hotel room was nothing short of spectacular. and I mean that.
We had a in room kitchen, dinning room, living space, balcony (complete with BBQ), bathroom and bedroom all seperate. The bathroom was done with the small details that just made it so much more amazing. This was the most romantic and comfortable hotel i've been in.
I think my only complaint is the pool and hot tub are outside, in a non covered area. Hot tub yeah thats okay but the walk in your swim suit from building to pool kinda sucked but not a reason to not stay here!
I will DEFINITLY be staying again.

We booked this place simply from TripAdvisor's site and fell in love with it. The suite we had was spacious, clean, new, comfortable, and so beautiful - hardwood floors, granite counters, full kitchen, beautiful decorating, large bathrooms. Everything was fantastic and the staff were very helpful, too. My husband and I wanted to get awy just to have some time for ourselves and this place was perfect for it. We spent a lot of time just reading or relaxing in our beautiful surroundings. And underground parking too so waking up to snow didn't mean scraping or brushing.

This was a nice place but I was expecting a bit more. The kitchen wasn't fully stocked for our simple cooking needs (no baking sheets). The internet signal was weak so I had to sit by the entrance on the floor to get access as well as problems with the TV (remote needed batteries). Really cold long walk out to the hot tub as well. Shower pressure was also a bit weak. There wasn't much of a view of the mountains either. Service was good though and the suite was spacious and had nice decor. Bed was firm and had nice bedding although my husband thought the pillows were too soft. All in all, it was a nice stay but we were expecting more. We prefer the Blackstone to the this one.

The welcome at the service desk set the tone for our stay. They were so friendly and accomodating. I was feeling a little harried since we had been driving since early morning and the wedding was in 3/4 of an hour. Check in was quick and we were allowed early access to the room so we could quickly freshen up. My smiles from checking in didn't leave my face as I looked around the suite. It is as the pictures show if not better. The bed was great; crisp white linens. The bathroom was large and included 2 sinks, a very long bathtub and a 5' X 5' glass enclosed shower, Not only did the size add to the effect of luxury but it allowed us to each get ready at our own speed without the frustration of "someone hogging the bathroom". Moving from the room to warm underground parking was great too.
Later we talked to other family members who had been there for a few days who said that they too had beautiful rooms, had used the pool facilities and planned to stay a few days longer. Like us, they had nothing but praise for the staff and the resort.

Staying at the StoneRidge Mountain Resort really added to our pleasant memories of a happy and fun wedding.

My husband and I stayed at the StoneRidge Resort for 2 nights. We really loved it! The views were amazing and the condo was so comfy we didn't want to go home. The kitchen was so nice that this is the first time I have ever wanted to cook when I was on a holiday. We made breakfast and just relaxed in our suite. The Ipod stereo is a really nice touch in the room. We had some problems getting Wifi on our Ipods but our laptop picked it up no problem, maybe it was the location of our room and the signal wasn't strong enough. There was some noise from trains going through the town but not really bothersome. The staff are amazingly friendly and helpful. We had some trouble with our TV and the sound and they were up immediately to fix it. Plus it was such a nice touch that they left a bottle of sparkling wine for us in the room knowing it was our anniversary. Looking forward to when they build the cafe at the resort so we don't have to leave it! The StoneRidge Resort is going to be our yearly anniversary destination plus any time we can sneak away for a weekend. :-)
