Description: Oted most Romantic Restaurant in the Rockies, we are tucked off Main Street Canmore in a charming character house. Tapas offers the lively fusion of Spanish and Old World flavours created by our kitchen team. We have designed a menu of specialty dishes that are prepared to order from the freshest ingredients available. All stocks, sauces and desserts are made by our Chef Dan Purvis in house. Our menu offers gluten free and vegetarian options. Share several plates amongst friends in the intimate dining room with Spanish style murals and high back leather chairs. We also have an eclectic attic with slanted ceilings and low windows which is great for small parties. Don't forget to visit us in the summer where you can enjoy tapas on our Mediterranean- style deck with lovely al fresco ambiance. And most importantly, be sure to try our house made Sangria (white or red) or choose a lovely Spanish Cava or wine from our Wine Menu. Want to bring your own wine, we offer a $25 corkage fee as well.

“Combination of hot and cold for everyone”
Reviewed September 9, 2013

Eating at Tapas was a great experience. Whether your hungry for a lot or just for something light, the hot and cold tapas menus has it covered. Gluten free, vegetarian, or fish or meat, you can meet your appetite cravings. WIne list was good. We tried the chilled asparagus salad, tuna, salad and the lamb lollipops. What makes it interesting is the way the food is presented and the new tastes that you will experience. Maple syrup with lamb, or candied pistachios with the caesar salad. Tapas has a lively atmosphere, staff are friendly, and food is served promptly. Good mix of patrons and not a good place to bring family. The only knocks were that the noise level can get a bit high and your waiter cannot hear you. Parking is a challenge as with many outlets in the town of Canmore. Better to park blocks away and walk or get there early. The chairs were not the most comfortable so your not sitting and dining all night.

“Lovely, original tapas”
Reviewed September 8, 2013

This restaurant was a very very pleasant surprise. Lovely people, great variety and choice of tapas and healthy portions. We tried too many really, but the were all sooo good we couldn't stop! I think the chorizos and figs was the winner on the night with the mussels (both versions) close second. Really is a great little place and I am not surprised it is hard to get tables! Enjoy

“Foodies - a must!”
Reviewed September 5, 2013

We'd been in Canmore for almost a week but either it was the Labor Day holiday and they were closed or we would invariably arrive before they opened at 5:00. Last night, finally - made a point of waiting till after 5:00 and enjoyed a fabulous meal, great service and atmosphere. The choices were a foodie's dream menu and Sylvian, my waiter, was helpful with a suggestion to try a favourite of his which I may not have selected on my own and it was insanely good. Great wine as well. Last night in town tonight and I hope to go back.....this is a place you should go when in Canmore!

“Makes sharing fun”
Reviewed September 4, 2013

Wonderful late summer evening on the deck with friends. Unique and yummy Caesar salad of romaine wrapped with prosciutto and drizzled with creamy dressing and spiced nuts. Hate to use the word again, but unique Patatas Barvas with a hint of lemon. Pork stew. Tomato tartare. Lamb lollipops. Sorry we don't live here, we would be regulars.

“Interesting Menu”
Reviewed September 3, 2013

My husband and I originally went to Banff but then decided to stay in Canmore. We decided to give Tapas a try. Whenever I look at a menu I have a hard time trying to decide what to choose. This restaurant is great as one can try many small plates. Mussels were the best I have ever had! Great eats and delightful atmosphere. Our server, Alex, was knowledgeable and could not do enough for us. A definite return is in order!
