My daughter’s bridal shower was this past Sunday and knowing that men are not permitted at such events, I took a nice drive along the river to Dimitri’s. The weather was gorgeous with a warm summer breeze. I was promptly given a table so that I could enjoy a water front view. I ordered the chicken souvlaki, 2 sticks of course, with a Caesar salad. The souvlaki was done to perfection and the salad was nice and creamy, just the way I like it. The service was friendly an efficient in spite of the large crowd. I was even greeted by Dimitri himself.

What a wonderful and delicious way to spend an hour on a lovely Sunday afternoon.

The best grilled chicken burger I ever had. Most grilled chicken burgers contain a single slice of grilled chicken. At Dimitri's it is 2 slices of marinated chicken, juicy and a taste of Greece. Add to that a beautiful view of the St. Lawrence River and ships slowly gliding between the islands in the river.

We went to Dimitri's for an evening meal on the waterfront. Their patio is welcoming and has a wonderful view. The Servers were knowledgeable and helpful. We had the souvlaki and perch platter. Both meals were fabulous.

Went for lunch with my girlfriend. We wach had the chicken brochette platter.

For the price, the size of the brochettes were obscenely small. The salad was okay, except for horrible quality tomatos. In addition to this, the tzaziki sauce being served in this " authentic Greek restaurant" wasn't made from greek yogurt, it was made from mayonnaise ! How can the chef or owner try to pass off this sauce to their customers ? Where is your pride ?

In my humble opinion, the restaurant decor & setting is what you are paying for. But the quality & quantity of the food just isn't worth the price of the scenery.

If you want a meal that is truly worth the price, but without a nice view of Lake St Francis, then goto Lancaster Pizzaria in Lancaster village about 10 minutes away. THEY have the best food in town !
