Fine Dining Restaurant
I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food at the Riverview Lodge fine dining restaurant. I was there twice during with my boyfriend during my stay in Dryden, and was very happy with the food and service both times.
I wasn't expecting the quality of the food to be this exceptional keeping in mind that this is the only fine dining restaurant in Dryden and has no competition. But they blew me away with their wall eye and sesame chicken dijon. My boyfriend thoroughly enjoyed his food too. And the bread rolls served with whipped butter are the perfect way to build your appetite for the main meal. A double thumbs up for the multi-grain roll.
The only minor gripe I had with this place was the service at times. Although it seems like a very well managed restaurant, they forgot to give us our menu's the first time we were there (they didn't come until we asked for them), and they forgot to bring some sugar along with our coffee and tea both times that we were there. But the food really made up for this.
Bar and Casual Dining Area
We really enjoyed our food here too. The chicken wrap with tzatziki sauce was perfect and the steak sandwich was really good too. Note: The steak sandwich tastes nicer with the sautéed mushrooms and caramelised onions on the side. So be sure to order those.
I ordered the raspberry mojito and found it to be a little too sweet. They use sprite in their mojito cocktails. So if don't like your cocktails too sweet, you should just ask the bartender to use less sugar syrup beforehand.
