“Don't Forget To Get Breakfast”
Reviewed August 31, 2012

Where else would you stay in Dryden? This motel was at the high end of our 'motel budget' on our cross country trip but overall we were happy with it. It seemed like every room was newly renovated (ours was for sure). It was clean and comfortable. Outside the door there is even a semi-deck (facing the parking lot) where you can sit and read your book and enjoy a nice summer night. A perfect place to stop with a sports team. The real value added was the next morning at breakfast, get there early and get the early bird special. I love the feel of their little restaurant, you can tell it is a place where locals come to eat and even hangout. I was really impressed, they even gave us take away cups and one last coffee for the road.

The Motel is just that. A motel off the Trans Canadian Highway, If you want something very basic then that's all it is. The room we had was tired and in need of a face-lift. The window frames looked as if they would fall out any time. We had to get rid of numerous flies which were in the room. The bath leaked and at one time i thought the bath tap was going to fall off. On the plus side the beds were clean and we had plenty of clean towels.
I do think that they seemed to concentrate on their restaurant side of the business, possibly it bought in more money! It always seemed to have plently of people in, and locals at that. We had a most enjoyable meal there and an even better breakfast the following morning. Well done on the restaurant, No so on the accommodation.

Room Tip: No don't stay here. Unless you want cheap and clean bedding & towels.

Located right on the highway, this well-kept establishment has comfortable beds, pleasant rooms, and very friendly service at a price $35 less than the chain hotels. A great place to stay in Dryden.

As a hungry cyclist bicycling across Canada, my review for food and sleep quality might be a little biased. It can't be denied though that the TC is a total gem of place, and a boon for travellers of all types

The best measure of a restaurant when visiting a new town is whether the locals attend. I can safely say the adjoined restaurant was packed for Saturday supper rush and Sunday brunch with travellers, locals, friends and family. Truly a warm and welcome atmosphere.

The rooms were very clean and had differed amenities included; the owner even showed me the last two rooms he had available so I could choose whichever one I wanted. The newly renovated rooms have a modern washroom and great interiors. Loved their choice of provided soaps for the shower - really shows they care when that much detail goes into each little area. I will definitely be returning here on my next cross-country adventure.
