“Always good food!!!!”
Reviewed January 25, 2014

We have been to the John B. several times over the years. recently there for a birthday celebration with friends this week. It is always good!! Haven't been there for dinner but the lunches and the variety on the menu are excellent. The prices are comparable and they certainly give you plenty of food. I usually order the "mini" beef dip and it is large enough to be totally filling for lunch. The service is friendly and good. We have never had a bad meal there and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys a pub meal.

“New Years Celebrations at the John B Neighbourhood Pub”
Reviewed January 7, 2014

This is the second year that we have celebrated New Years at the pub. We had reservations for 10 people this year and another 10 people joined us under our reservation. The night is well priced and the food was great. A choice of two appy's, four main courses and two deserts, plus a champagne cocktail. They supply party favors, hats and noise makers closer to midnight and they have a live band. Their waitresses are by far the best there is around and very friendly.

“Buffet”
Reviewed January 7, 2014

Overall John B's food is of a high quality and very good. However I found the brunch to be lacking. There was a large variety of food but a lot of it was just lukewarm. The sauce for the eggs benedict which you poured yourself was not warm. The deepfried foods were cold. Other foods in warmers were barely warm. There was a ham and a roast but you couldn't get to it because it was overcrowed in the one corner where the cook was making omelets and he was overworked. The set up was bad in that you couldn't get through that area and if you did you had to walk up onto the stage and back down again to get to your table. The desserts table was ok but I'm not sure if many people knew it was there as very few people came by. We had a table right beside it. The warm dessert was very good and overall there was a large selection of food but if you want hot food this isn't the place.

“Great food”
Reviewed December 31, 2013 via mobile

Portions are huge. I had the mussels, which were the absolute best I've ever had. Fantastic beer selection. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Gorgeous bartender! My only complaint is the noise level. I needed ear plugs. Seriously, I had to leave because my ears hurt. But if you like that sort of thing.... Go for the food when it's not busy! Xoxoxo

“quantity not quality”
Reviewed November 10, 2013

Had the Sunday brunch buffet. While there's an internationally diverse selection (sushi, perogies, tiny samosas, curried pasta, etc) and it's all-you-can-eat, at least three-quarters of the food is pre-prepped and just warmed onsite. Lots of deep fried food. Kinda of dried out in most cases. Sushi had an over-abundance of rice but was pretty good if you removed half of the rice. Custom omelet bar.

Good option if you want NFL, beer, and lots of food. If you're looking for quality food though, this isn't the place.
