We see that you had a chance to visit our indoor pool and hot tub. Many families enjoy using our relaxing pool facilities while they stay with us. Stayed here with a kids hockey team. Terrible experience. Changed room initially because one given was terrible (253). Smelled like smoke, ceiling stained and mattress felt like a box spring. Front desk gave us other room (268), heater knob broken and filthy, tumbler with cigarette ashes left in room, counter top laminate peeling in bathroom.
Breakfast was to be included in the $85 per night fee. The breakfast was abysmal. Scrambled eggs and toast, that was it. Juice was to cost extra.
Tired looking building with moss on the grounds. Terrible.
The pool had yellow tape across the change room entrance to prevent use. How many 8 yr old kids who had to pee do you think would bother to leave the facility, run across the parking lot in their wet shorts in the dead of winter to go back to their rooms to use the toilet? Or do they just pee in the pool?

Staff advised me that the restaurant closes at 2:30 even though advertised as open until 8:30. If you do not have a car, this is bad news as the hotel is not really within walking distance of any other place to eat.
My wife refused to stay another night and we checked out the next day. Our son was upset to leave his team behind for what was to be a fun team experience, but since there was no way we would let him swim in that pool, he relented.
I phoned Howard Johnson (apparently they own the Ramada name) and complained. I was told I would hear back from them but have yet to hear back. I did receive a letter from Ramada Coquitlam and was given an offer of 25% off on next stay.
I would never stay at any Ramada again.

We sincerely apologize that your stay was less than satisfying. At Ramada we take great pride in our high standards of cleanliness. Unfortunately, you experienced a time when we did not meet those standards.
Booked for 2 nights to discover that the hotel was in a generally poor state. It was dirty and poorly maintained. We had to switch rooms because the first room was so run down, dated, and depressing to be in. In the second room, the sheets were dirty. The service was poor; had to ask 3 times for certain amenities before receiving them. The hotel was also very noisy; therefore, sleep quality was poor. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

We have currently renovated all of our bathrooms and have had amazing feedback from all of our guests.
Specifically requested not near pool (gets noisy), was put in room overlooking entrance. Next room, tepid water only in bathtub. Also noisy because it was close to the front desk (someone talking loud at 3 a.m.). Changed rooms when I reported to staff. Third room. Okay.
Each room was in the wing right next to the front desk. Room heats inconsistent. Restaurant with a boring menu - I walked in at 7:30 - no customers and no staff in sight. So I left.
Thank you for your valuable feedback. We apologize that you had to switch rooms due to it being noisy. We sometimes have sports teams visiting us on the weekends and at times the pool area can be noisy. We hope that you will give us a second chance and come visit us again in the near future.
Hotel is doing some renovations so it was a bit annoying at first but other than that everything was fine. When i checked into my room it was freezing cold but once i have notified someone from front desk, they immediately got someone to turn up the heat for me and it eventually got warmed up and my room became nice and cozy! Overall, the room was clean and the staff was nice and helpful. I would come back!
