We got a room on the 1st floor right opposite the swimming pool. We liked that there was ample space, with 2 separate sinks. The reverse cycle airconditioning was a plus, however noisy it was. Located right beside a small Korean community, a stroll to the nearby supermarket was an eye opener. We were able to purchase daily supplies within a 5 min walk. The surrounding is also safe, with little noise pollution.

There is ample carpark space, and the staff were friendly. Rooms were clean, with more than sufficient pillows. Rooms were made up daily very nicely.

Would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Canada.

I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights. In general, I found the service poor and the quality of the accomodations overstated.

Hotel staff (including the front desk, housecleaning, and the servers in the restaurant) were unavailable when needed, seemingly distracted when approached, and very slow to respond to my straightforward resquests.

The "high-speed" wireless internet access was very frustrating. The signal strength flux causes the connection to be dropped repeatedly and the service was largely unavailable between 7 and 11 pm.

The interior courtyard pool complex caused a significant chlorine smell in the rooms.

Other than these issues, this hotel was equal to a typical 3 (of five) star.

My husband and I had a two bedroom suite with a full kitchen so had tons of space. The kitchen was stocked with dish detergent, cloths, dishes, pepper/salt, etc.

The thing that drove us nuts was we had problems with our passcards. We were each issued one and discovered that one never worked. The other one would work once or twice and that was it. We were continuous going back to the front desk (the other end of the building) for new passcards. Saturday night the front desk clerk (John) came with us with two new passcards and the passkey - one card worked. After a while, it became a joke for us. It stopped being funny, though, on our second afternoon. We were waiting to get our new passcards while John (the same clerk from the night before) checked someone in. Then someone else came up and he started to check them in when he was finished with the first person. I said that all I wanted was a passcard that worked so I could get into my room. John said he would be with us soon. So my husband went to where he was checking the new customer in and demanded new passcards. John gave them to him and, of course, only one worked. Very poor customer service considering John knew what we wanted since it was a constant problem with us. Plus no one seemed to care that we were inconvenienced every time we wanted to get into our room (because we couldn't get into it).

The pool is indoors in what they call a tropical setting. The hot tub lives up to it's name - it's very HOT. There are rooms that are off this area with balconies that overlook the pool - I would avoid them because of the humidity. The "fitness area" is also here with junky cheap machines (treadmill, stairmaster, etc.). Plus it's not a very comfortable place to exercise because basically you are in the hall to the pool and it's very warm.

There is a computer (fairly slow) in the lobby with Internet access ($1 for 10 minutes, etc.). For some reason they have the chair chained to the desk.

The restaurant/lounge in the hotel never seemed busy. We walked a couple blocks north instead to a pub called "The Foggy Dew" - it's in the back of the Executive Hotel so you have to look for it. It has a nice patio, good food and more happenin' atmosphere. There is a large mall about a five minute drive north of the hotel so you can pick up groceries. There is a liquor store attached to the hotel. There are a variety of restaurants in the area - Greek, Asian, White Spot, etc.

Great find! The staff is very friendly and welcoming. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite with full kitchen and living room. It was very quiet and we felt like we were at home it was so comfortable. The beds are new and the mattresses are very comfortable. Another bonus is the free wireless for the business traveler. The inside pool area is beautiful. This is really the BEST hotel in Coquitlam.

What a great hotel. The service was so great and the atmosphere fabulous. While I was there I was able to watch a beautiful wedding right in this huge indoor garden. What a treat!

They had everything I needed, an indoor pool and a hottub. I felt like I was in paradise, I got way more than I expected for what I paid.
