“Oh the lamb!”
Reviewed October 11, 2012 via mobile

We go here once in awhile as it is very close to us. What we love about this place is the roasted lamb... Omg it just melts away and the flavor is wonderful. The calamari is always fresh and delish! We love ordering the white sangria with fresh fruits inside. Easy drinking when weather is warm and it will bring out fun conversations if u know what I mean. If you live in north van I'm sure everyone has heard about this place. There are several Greek places but pasperos is a standout.

“Great place with best Tarama ever AND also vegan food!”
Reviewed September 20, 2012

We came to this place during our 2 day visit of Vancouver. We stayed at the Pinnacle At The Pier Hotel (read my review) and discovered this restaurant in the hotels information brochure. We tend to go to mediterrainia restaurants, because we're all vegetarians.
You get to Pasparos Taverna within 10min walk from the hotel. We went there with four perople on a sunday evening without a reservation at around 7:30pm. The restaurant was well attended but they had a table left for us. We had a very nice one (yet small for the amount of food we got) in the atrium. But you can also sit inside the building or outside on the patio towards the street. Our waitress was a very nice and friendly older lady (sister of the chef ?) who was also very funny and made some jokes with us.
The food was delicious! We had: Three Dips Sampler (Humus, Saziki and Olive) with Pita bread, Tarama (best we ever had...ever!), Spanakopita (Two spinach pies served with greek salad, vegetables and satziki), Saganaki (Pan fried Kefalograviera cheese), Vegan Moussaka (YES! They do have vegan food!) and Prawns Souvlakia (came with Rice, potatoes, vegetables and salad). For drink we had Gray Monk Pinot Noir. The food was delicious! And so was the wine!

This place was wonderful! And we liked the fact, that they have also veggie and also vegan main dishes. Not much, but at least they have. I know greek restaurants were veggetarians are bound to the starterts because all main dishes come with meat. So, we liked that place even more. If you have the opportunity, go there!!!

“50 or bust”
Reviewed August 26, 2012

I have been eating at Pasparos for over 20 years. Our family has had many birthday celebbrations and crazy nights here. The food is great. All homemade and wonderful. Price are good. There is a bellydance on certain nights which adds a fun twist to dinner. They are also open for lunch. Anyone can eat here.

“I come here regularely”
Reviewed May 8, 2012

My son lives near by, so we often come here when we visit. The food is always fantastic, and the restaurant is family run. The place has been there so long, some of their massive, and impressive plants are older than I am.
