“Great dinner!”
Reviewed October 22, 2013 via mobile

My wife and I were staying at Pinnacle on the Pier and found this Greek restaurant right across the street. It wasn't very busy but it was Monday night so that was expected. What we didn't expect was 40% off bottled wine on Mondays! The restaurant was super clean and the decor was charming.
We had calamari cooked to perfection. Our mains were Orzo and lamb souvlaki. Outstanding!
If you're in North Van give them a try!

“A Delightful Find”
Reviewed October 3, 2013

We were stumped for a Friday evening meal on a stay in North Vancouver, BC, and driving aimlessly around in the rainy dark looking for anything a quarter way decent. By sheer happy accident, we ended up in the Lower Lonsdale area near the SeaBus Terminal. After parking in a nearby hotel's lot, we wandered over to Lonsdale Ave. and discovered a lineup of three or four restaurants at the end of the street. Fortunately, we decided on Greek cuisine and chose Anatoli Souvlaki. We ended up enjoying probably the best Greek meal in our years of travel, including to Greece. One of us had the Moussaka, one of us the Calamari dinner. Both were delicious, but the Moussaka, my wife declared, was the best she had eaten with the possible exception of such dishes she had prepared herself. Coming from such a discerning and talented cook, that's high praise. Prices were in the $18 range, which isn't at all bad in Vancouver for a restaurant whose inviting decor, attentive service, and, especially, appetizing food were top rate. Drinks were reasonable. The lighting was dark enough to be romantic but light enough to find your fork. Thankfully, the sound track wasn't from "Zorba the Greek" or "Never on Sunday." Glancing around, we could spot families and lots of what we assumed were locals. In sum, serendipity on a dark and stormy night served us well.

“So delicious and so full!”
Reviewed September 25, 2013

We walked in at closing time. We were so hungry after a day on the town. We were willing to get take out but the staff was very welcoming and sat us down at the bar to eat! The country lamb was fabulous, tender, mouthwatering and plentiful!! Complimentary tzasiki (sp?). Oh, and metaxa mojito! Will definitely go back. It's in a great location near the Lonsdale market too.

“A good value with excellent food.”
Reviewed September 23, 2013

We were able to walk to this restaurant from The Pinnacle Hotel. Excellent Greek food. Hummus dressing on the salad was the best I have ever had. Husband had Souvlaki and it was delicious with great spices.
