I decided this year that I would cimb the Grind when I visited BC. Last time I just took the cable car up. As we drove to the base of the mountain, I was getting increasingly nervous about whether I would be able to pull it off. I then realized, this is not just a big hill -- it's a mountain! I'm not unfit, but my endurance isn't great. When I got to the 1/4 mark, I wasn't sure I could climb that distance three more times! Yes, it was exhausting. Yet, there are some people out there that run it several times a week, so it's all relative! It's a nice temperature under the shade of the trees, and you can take it at your own pace, so you can stop whenever you want. It was a good experience though, and very rewarding once you finally reach the top!
