“Took some first timers and they loved it!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 1, 2013 via mobile

We took some friends who are very picky about where they eat here for the first time on December 31 and they raved about the food. They eat Indian food at a competing restaurant regularly and they said they now have a new place to eat. They like about 20 kms away and said they will definitely go out of their way to come back to this restaurant. We re locals and like to support local businesses. Indian Fusion is a pleasure to support and their vegetable korma and butter chicken are so fantastic we have trouble ordering anything else on the menu. Try it and you won't be disappointed!

“Terrific Value, Service and Quality”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 12, 2012

Hard to fault this small establishment which shares the block with a McD's, a sushi joint and Korean bbq house.

We were a group of five on our way to an event across the street at Centennial Theatre. Hungry and a bit pressed for time, we peered in the window and then walked into the empty small eatery. (It filled up quite quickly soon after)

The waitress was cheery, efficient and full of good suggestions. We drank a creditable bottle of wine (all labels were a flat $22 that evening), ate shared appetizers, then dug into mains- which became a bit of zoo with everyone wanting to try out the Rogash curry, or Vindaloo or whatever. All got two thumbs up.

Dinner for five- appies but no dessert or coffee, plus one bottle of wine, came to $120 plus tip. For Vancouver, that's a real bargain. And that it was for well above average food. Not gourmet, a bit salty, but more than good.

Unfortunately we could not linger, but I for one will be back- for sure!

“Food = great! Service = Average to Good”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 19, 2012 via mobile

We dine here about once every six months and love it! Great ambience, usually good service. When they're busy with take out orders their dine in service suffers. Also, those picking up their take-out orders cluster around the front of the restaurant making those dining in a little uncomfortable.

Not the owners fault though. Maybe the take out entrance could be in the rear?

On to the food. Pakoras are excellent! Very generous portion for an appy. Butter chicken is to die for. Large tender pieces of chicken and fantastic sauce. Vegetable korma is fantastic and always has been. Amazing flavour. I sensed they may have used frozen carrots and peas in the korma due to the wrinkle cut of the carrots. Who cuts carrots like that normally. If so, there's no excuse but to use fresh ingredients. If they weren't frozen, I eat crow.

The basmati rice was perfect and the naan bread excellent.

My friend had a bubblegum martini which was not too sweet. A nice departure from sometimes overly sweetened drinks.

We had a slightly long wait between after the appy was finished to the main course arriving but that was due to them being quite busy. The servers were efficient, polite and professional.

I noted to our server that they need to tell Trip Advisor they are in North Vancouver and not Victoria. She said they would inquire.

Total bill? $44 including HST. Tip on too at 20% was about $53.

My dining partner and I were so full we needed to be wheeled out of there.

Dine here when it's not too busy and you'll love it! Done here when it is busy and it's worth the wait.

Highly recommended!

“North Vancouver & Not in Victoria”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 8, 2012

It is a small but decent Indian restaurant located at the north end of Lonsdale Avenue in North Vancouver, far away from Victoria. They have about 10 tables with 2 outside along the road. Food is good and atmosphere is also not bad. My wife felt the curry a bit salty but I am O.K. if you eat with their naan or rice. Their lunch special is good value for money.

“great food, wonderful service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 5, 2012

This restaunt is in NORTH VANCOUVER, not Victoria as stated.

Wonderful young man who owns the restarant and came to talk to us. We said we were in a hurry to catch the ferry and our food arrived very quickly and was delicious. Well priced and good ambiance in the resteraunt.
