“Have a meal at this lovely little gem”
Reviewed January 26, 2012

tucked away in central Lonsdale, this little place is unassuming from the street, but worth seeking out. The menu is creative, the wine list is thoughtfully constructed, and the service is fun and friendly. We were so, so pleased to find freshly baked bread, classically prepared and delicious menu items, and professional service all wrapped up with reasonable prices. Check it out!

“Great Seafood/Italian Restaurant”
Reviewed December 19, 2011

We purchased a Groupon for this restaurant without knowing anything about it. On the spur of the moment we dropped in early on a Tuesday night. First off we were impressed with the pleasant, crisp ambience. Furnishings appropriate and not overdone. While the menu is not large, there is an emphasis on seafood but beef and chicken are also offered. Pasts does not feature very much on the menu, so this is not a spaghetti venue! All the menu items looked very interesting with unique combinations. Mains were from $15 to $26 (surf and turf) with the average about $20. The waiter was professional and very friendly, making our dinner a pleasant occasion. By the time we left the restaurant was almost full, so I suspect reservations are necessary on more popular evenings.

“Good Wine, Amazing Food, Great Friendly Service...”
Reviewed October 20, 2011

From the moment we walked in the door, it's as if we arrived at a friends for dinner... Excellent fine dining, but our server was so friendly and helpful in choosing drinks & food... and making you feel like you were someone special. From the personal martini recipe he concocted to the sample of a new brie appetizer he 'snuck' out to us, he was definately charming... the wine was smooth and our entrees were fantastic. No skimping on the seafood that's for sure! If you still have room, try the profiteroles. Mmmmm. Cheers to Randy and Felix! Thanks for a lovely dining experience. We'll be back for sure...

“A welcome addition to mid-Lonsdale”
Reviewed February 18, 2011

My understanding is that the owners of the very popular Bravo Cucina decided not to expand that restaurant, but instead to open an entirely new restaurant right next door to the existing one. Although it's Italian, don't expect stereotypical fare; this is a SEAFOOD restaurant. We liked it a lot: good variety on the menu, nice room, good presentation.

The service is the weakness here, as it so often is in the greater Vancouver area. The young woman who served us couldn't have been nicer, and she was trying her best, but she just didn't know anything about restaurants, let alone about working in one.
