Our daughter's wedding in Vancouver was made even more special by our stay at the Thistledown House. Coming from Ottawa, we had debated whether to stay in a hotel or a B&B. We decided on the Thistledown after speaking to Rex who put our minds at ease. We stayed at the Thistledown for a total of 10 days, we had 3 suites booked. From the moment we arrived we knew we had made the right decision, it was a home away from home. Rex and Ruth made us feel so welcome, from a cup of tea beautifully served in the garden (under the apple tree) or the five course breakfast where there was always laughter....and a cup of coffee offered right away. The breakfast was amazing. Our suites were right out of "House and Home" but most of all was the care and concern of Rex and Ruth, who always went above and beyond, be it directions, a nice restaurant for dinner, or just a pre-wedding jitters chat. We highly recommend Thistledown and look forward to staying there again.
