“Good, free park”
Reviewed September 21, 2009

We went here while trying to decide whether to visit this or Capilano which cost about $40 each. We decided we would try the free one as we didn't have much time and found it to be a very nice park with some waterfalls, a suspension bridge and a nice clear deep pool at the bottom to sit by. The cafe at the entrance looked good although we didn't use it. As we didn't go to Capilano, we couldn't say whether one was better than the other but this was a nice place to visit for free.

“Excellent fun, free, but crowded”
Reviewed September 19, 2009

My family of four loved this park. The suspension bridge was a treat for my two teenagers, but the best part was the family friendly hikes throughout the park. Nothing extraordinary -- just perfect for a family outing and conducive for quality time together. A real gem, especially since the park if free of charge. The only drawback was how crowded the park was. We were there in late August and late on a Sunday afternoon, and the crowds (not on the trails so much, as on the suspension bridge) was stifling. Still, we would definitely go here again.

“Superb taste of the northwest rain forest”
Reviewed August 20, 2009

Thanks, TripAdvisor, for pointing out another half-hidden gem. The guidebooks barely mention Lynn Canyon, but it's beautiful, fun and free of charge.

Our son loved the moving suspension bridge, and I enjoyed feeling it sway. The hiking trails provided a closeup look at the tall trees and ferny undergrowth. And with the sound of the stream in the background, it felt more like wilderness than a city park.

We bought a couple of gelato cones from the cafe to help support the park. (At least that's how I justified it.) The cafe's food looked good, perhaps a little exotic, but also a little pricy. The welcome center had some great displays explaining the region's natural history.

Highly recommended for anyone who is anywhere nearby with a couple of hours to spend hiking in the tall woods.

“Amazingly Beautiful And Free!”
Reviewed August 13, 2009

Lynn canyon has a big suspension bridge, and fantastic hiking trails. It is also FREE. We were on a budget so we could not squeeze in the huge fee at the Capilano Bridge, and so we went to Lynn Canyon instead. We had such a wonderful time. The cafe is good but expensive. Bring food and eat on the picnic tables.
