Whenever I return to British Columbia, I always try and fit in a visit to Mount Seymour. It's the most affordable mountain in Greater Vancouver for winter activities, to my knowledge, and they keep the roads well plowed so that you can drive up even when it's snowing. It's not as big as some of the other mountains, so I can't comment on what it's like for skiing and snowboarding, but it is absolutely worth a visit at least once.

My family loves to go tubing on Mt. Seymour. $20 for 2 hrs. Only issue is you can only go down the runs on your stomach and you can't go together/in groups like other places. If you go, go for first thing or go at the end of the day, as the traffic going up can be horrendous on the weekends. Sometimes the line of cars stretches for a couple kilometers. And bring your own snacks - the food in the chalet is mediocre, expensive and very crowded.

It is a great place to snowshoe in winter and walk in the summer. I especially enjoy the walk over to Dog Mountain.

Went snowshoeing at the Discovery Trail Snowshoeing on Mount Seymour... the price was reasonable the trails were excellent, the view was fantastic. 150 meter total elevation gain and 5.5 kilometers of trails ... well worth the time. Excellent for beginners, because there are many loop options. Go and check it out!

We decided to try out Mount Seymour sled area. It is very close to downtown Vancouver where we stayed. the drive is easy (it was not snowing), we just drive the family Van. There are park person at the parking lot to direct traffic, it is weekend, most of the people there are locals.

they have 2 sled area, we decide to stay with the easier one. the line is not long, and little boy had a great time. you do need bring your own sled. they sell one flat plastic type, from what I see, it does not work well.
