Having never stayed at a Travelodge, we were pleasantly surprised and pleased with the accommodations. Despite the convenient but very busy location, the area was nice and quiet. If you're looking for a decent, quiet room, this motel offering comfortable accommodations. Earl's Restaurant is right next door and serves very good food.

Room Tip: If you have a lot of luggage, stay on the first floor. No elevator on premise.

Dear Guest,
Thank you very much for the lovely review. Unfortunately, this is not the Travelodge Trip Advisor page. We will certainly pass on the message to our fellow industry member and I am sure they will be delighted to hear the comment. We do hope you will try us at the North Vancouver Hotel the next time you are in Vancouver.

We stayed here for 2 night before our cruise to Alaska. The room was spacious and comfortable, dining was close by and it was pretty quite. There is a great Sushi place up the road and their prices are quite the deal !

I enjoyed two weeks here in May 2013 and found the room to be large and have everything required. Cleaning was fine, breakfast was average but could do with more variety. I also found they were not helpful with suitcases, but then again my ex did abandon me there to find my own way to the airport. Is a busy street but very handy to public transport. There was an incident involving Police above me while there, but that could happen anywhere. Love the country would stay again

Room Tip: Get a room on the bottom level they do have pet friendly rooms as well

Dear Traveler,

Thanks for your review; we are glad that our room met your needs. Unfortunately we do not have a bellman, and our friendly front desk staff always lend their hand unless they were not able to. We do have a great public transit system in Vancouver which is easy to access a the hotel or nearby. Thanks again for your response and we hope you will stay with us the next time you are in Vancouver.

Not having stayed here before, we were not sure what to expect but we were pleased with our choice...

PROS:

- Very spacious room (2 double beds). We were moving our daughter back to SFU for the year and had to unload everything from the pick-up as we came a day early. With the extra room, there was lots of space to store everything.
- Well-kept room. Everything was nice and tidy.
- Good breakfast, including hot items - which is always nice for a free breakfast. It included eggs and hash browns, coffee (not so good), tea, different juices, milk, baked goods, pancakes, cereal and yogurt with fruit. It was quite busy, but in the warmer weather they have outdoor, covered seating which is helpful. We actually sat inside.
- Fridge and microwave in the room.
- Great customer service. Fast check-in. Also, while we were checking in, one of the housekeepers asked the front staff what room we were in and while we were unpacking she brought by extra towels and face cloths for us (they were still warm). I wish I had noticed her name as she was very nice and had a great rapport - good for a nice chat with weary travelers!
- Nice outdoor pool. We did not have a chance to use it, but it looked very clean.

CON (only 1!)
- The bedding was very light and there were no extra blankets to use

Overall a nice stay. Walkable distance to stores in N. Van and also to Ambleside Park.

Dear Guest,

We would like to thank you for taking the time to leave this informative review. We are pleased to know that you enjoyed your stay. I believe the housekeeper you mentioned is Joann, our Housekeeping Supervisor who is a favorite with the guests. I will pass on your warm praise to her, I’m sure she will be happy to hear it. In regards to your only con, we do actually provide extra blankets at front desk. If you inform front desk of your needs during your stay they are always happy to accommodate you as best they can. Thanks again for your kind review; we look forward to having you stay with us again in the future.

Sincerely yours,

The location was right down the road from the bridge. The rooms and lobby were very outdated. Breakfast was less than average. Seating for breakfast was less than desirable. The view of surrounding area was pretty.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback. We are glad you found our location convenient, it is very close to the bridge and easy to get downtown. We do try to update our rooms and lobby, which was done only two years ago. We will continue to upkeep our facilities, and another update will happen in the next two years. For example we will be painting our building in the upcoming year. It is a continuous process which we are always working on, and recently we have been putting much of our efforts into updating the rooms. As far as seating, we have indoor seating, outdoor seating and we also have the breakfast take-out option so you can have breakfast in bed. We hope that this information has been helpful and that you will consider staying with us again the next time you are in Vancouver.

Sincerely,

This is an independently owned motel and attention to detail and pride of ownership were evident throughout the property. We liked the location, and the easy access to Lions Gate Bridge, downtown Vancouver and Stanley Park. This is a "budget" motel so expecting anything else would be unrealistic. The rooms were large, clean and updated. There is a nice pool on the property.( It would be nice to have a map of the property in the room, it took me forever to find the ice machine- it is in the laundry room.) Breakfast was good but seemed understaffed. The two women who were washing dishes and re stocking food were constantly on the run and they were always out of something. Over all, we really liked it and would stay here again.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your kind review! We appreciate you taking the time to leave us your feedback. We are glad you enjoyed your stay and found the rooms to your liking. Having a map of the building in the rooms is an interesting idea which we will definitely consider. We occasionally have very busy morning when our staff shows their high efficiency and competence, and on an average morning they are well up to the task. We do take pride in our property and everything we do and it is very rewarding to know that our guests notice it. We strive to provide good value and a comfortable stay. We look forward to having you back the next time you are in Vancouver.

The rooms were clean. But no help was offered with the bags. The manager was completely rude and didn't seem to have a clue about local attractions, nor did he seem interested in helping us. The breakfast was badly organised and buses of school children piling in made for an unpleasant experience. The lady who worked in the breakfast room was obviously working her best and was very helpful.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for taking the time to leave us your comments. We are glad to know that you found the rooms clean and the breakfast staff helpful. We do have a lot of sports teams that stay with us, and although there are a lot of them they are usually very good about keeping the noise to a minimum and being respectful of the other guests. Thanks again for your feedback and we hope you will consider staying with us the next time you are in Vancouver.
