I was told Vancouver was the "promised land of fine dining"...well, i have terrible news for my friends trying to convince me of the status of the Metropolis, as far as fine dining, we had quite a few meals there and they were really, really average in quality and overpriced. At the exception of this place, a very quaint and discreet restaurant in north Vancouver, where we did have a great meal with very efficient service and quality food well prepared and seasoned. The Ahi tuna was thoughtfully prepared, the paella was generous and traditional (a bit too much chorizo, but still good). The seared sea Scallops with pancetta, snowpeas and aged parmesan risotto were perfect. Portions were generous and the prices were more than fair, do not fall for all the tourists traps in Vancouver, and they are many, treat yourself to great tasty seafood in this eatery.
