“Place for family and friends”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 8, 2014

Great location for some winter fun with family and friends. Get there early to find a good close parking spot. Not too many places to sit if you are a spectator so grab the swat and stick around. Lots of fun stuff to do with family in winter. Generally very busy but staff are very attentive. Food outlets are limited and seating for dining is not always readily available. It's a whole day affair so go prepared. I would go back there during winter again if in Vancouver

“Still wearing cap”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 8, 2014

We visited Grouse Mountain whilst on a Titan tour in September 2012. A tour bus ride from the Quayside to the foot of the Skyride - the view at the top was murky but we could see Vancouver Island as well as Mount Baker.

“not much to do if you dont ski”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 7, 2014

Skyride up is amazing, but if you dont ski theres not much else to do at the top. We had fun ice skating for $8, but didnt want to pay $74 each to do the mountain ziplining. We did like the cinema in the sky, the movies on the bears and owls were really interesting, made more so by the fact that we were the only people in the cinema and the staff member spoke directly to us and gave us more information than the video. The staff at the cafe were very friendly. Enjoyed our time, but couldnt spend a full day there.

“Awesome! Despite skiing season”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 6, 2014

Wow it was busy in January! We just wanted to go up the skyride for the view and had a VERY difficult time getting parking!! Worth it in the end as we quite enjoyed it up there, and we don't ski!

“A full day's visit!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 2, 2014

We expected to spend only a half a day at Grouse Mountain, but when we go there we wound up spending the entire day and it was worth every minute. Took the free shuttle from Canada Place which made it very easy. The tram ride to the top was super smooth but packed with people. So if you want to look out the window, find a spot quick. Once at the top the views are spectacular. Truly enjoyed spending time at the Grizzly Bear habitat and listening to the Ranger Talk at this area. Was going to skip the lumberjack show, because it isn't really our thing, however decided to drop in and watch. We were glad we did! Very entertaining and funny! Wish we wouldn't have missed the beginning. Also enjoyed the Bird Show which was very informative. Beautiful to see the birds doing what comes natural to them and seeing them so close. Didn't get a chance to ride the lifts to the top, instead spent hours wandering around looking at the carved statues and enjoying the views. If you enjoy the Grizzly Bear habitat be sure to catch the movie they have that talks about their life and how the habitat came to be. And if french fries are your thing - the combo meal at the restaurant near the theater comes with a POUND of fries! Felt bad throwing so many away, but they are tasty. Beautiful weather made for a great trip and glad we had nothing else planned that we could stay the entire day.
