Recommended length of visit: 2-3 hours
Owner description: Only 15 minutes from downtown Vancouver, allow 2 - 3 hours for your visit to Vancouver's iconic Capilano Suspension Bridge, hanging 450 feet (137m) across and 230 feet (70m) above Capilano River. The park offers more than just the bridge. Its surrounding 27 acres celebrate nature, history and culture in unique and thrilling ways. No more so than with the newest attraction, CLIFFWALK. Cliffwalk hangs for 213m (700ft) and reaches 91m (300ft) high, hugging the granite cliffside and offering a panoramic view of the thriving rainforest and canyon far below. On Treetops Adventure venture from one magnificent old growth Douglas-fir to another on a series of seven elevated suspension bridges, reaching as high as 110 feet (33m), for a squirrel's eye view of the forest. Guides, signage and interactive exhibits throughout the park help you in your understanding of rainforest ecosystems and their sustainability.

Was in Vancouver for the day in the middle of May with my husband and adult son. We all three love this and said we will go back soon!! It is beautiful and amazing. If you can get there early you will love it more I think. We went at about 11 on a Sat. and as the day went on was crowded. (They must have known how wonderful it will be!) Take time for the free tours. Informative. Enjoyed the trees and the flora and fauna. Relaxing.

If you do not like heights this is not the place to go!!

But if you do, it is very impressive. The bridge is long, high and wide. It also moves a lot as people mouve about on it. Also a beautiful setting with all the trees.

we were among the first few visitor on that day when we went there ... less crowdy in the early hours .. lots of great boardwalks at the other side of the bridge ... it is so full of green and maintained very well... tree walk was great thing to do even by our 5 years old daughter ... fun part definitely is at the middle of the suspension bridge and starting shaking the whole bridge ... if you are not light-hearten you would enjoy that .. and the scariest one is the walking on the cliff .. with a half circle path carving out of the cliff and making it hanging from the bolts and steel ropes from the cliff will make you feel super adventurous .. I only wish the price was less... i certainly felt the kind of activities available over there was not worth of the ticket price ... also the parking was not free either ... too bad !

I don't like heights, so I almost didn't do this one. I'm so glad I did. The suspension bridge is 450 ft long and 230 ft above a breathtaking river. The bridge does sway so it is a little scary, but it holds a ton of people. Once you get across the walk through the big trees and nature is worth it. The Treetop Adventure is thrilling from tree to tree. Very safe. Children will love all of this. The Cliffwalk is similar to the one at Grand Canyon except its further out. Great experience.

We went with a visiting group of Quebec exchange students on the weekend with a bunch of families. It was raining, so we almost cancelled, but with the rain ponchos they provide free, we all stayed warm and dry. Despite the bad (typical, Lower Mainland) weather, we all had fun.
The bridge bounces and sways just enough to be quite fun, but not scary.
The tree top walk on the other side had some good information about the forest.
The new cliff walk was absolutely beautiful. The views from the cliff were amazing and the walkway itself is an amazing thing. Totally safe and secure and quite a lovely thing in itself.
If you are a local, buy the membership. It will pay for itself on your second trip, when you bring visiting friends and family who want to enjoy the absolutely beautiful setting.
