Recommended length of visit: 2-3 hours
Owner description: Only 15 minutes from downtown Vancouver, allow 2 - 3 hours for your visit to Vancouver's iconic Capilano Suspension Bridge, hanging 450 feet (137m) across and 230 feet (70m) above Capilano River. The park offers more than just the bridge. Its surrounding 27 acres celebrate nature, history and culture in unique and thrilling ways. No more so than with the newest attraction, CLIFFWALK. Cliffwalk hangs for 213m (700ft) and reaches 91m (300ft) high, hugging the granite cliffside and offering a panoramic view of the thriving rainforest and canyon far below. On Treetops Adventure venture from one magnificent old growth Douglas-fir to another on a series of seven elevated suspension bridges, reaching as high as 110 feet (33m), for a squirrel's eye view of the forest. Guides, signage and interactive exhibits throughout the park help you in your understanding of rainforest ecosystems and their sustainability.

“Surprisingly good!”
Reviewed May 21, 2014

We went with a visiting group of Quebec exchange students on the weekend with a bunch of families. It was raining, so we almost cancelled, but with the rain ponchos they provide free, we all stayed warm and dry. Despite the bad (typical, Lower Mainland) weather, we all had fun.
The bridge bounces and sways just enough to be quite fun, but not scary.
The tree top walk on the other side had some good information about the forest.
The new cliff walk was absolutely beautiful. The views from the cliff were amazing and the walkway itself is an amazing thing. Totally safe and secure and quite a lovely thing in itself.
If you are a local, buy the membership. It will pay for itself on your second trip, when you bring visiting friends and family who want to enjoy the absolutely beautiful setting.

“Beautiful, Breathtaking, Worth ever dime!!”

The view from the bridge was breathtaking, You can walk across, it was crowded and a little shaky
but I made the walk. I also did the guided history tour, & Treetop Adventure Cliffwalk. The park is an conservationist dream. The food was overpriced, but we enjoyed the Capilano Band while we ate. The city is so clean, and the people were fantastic. I enjoyed everything on my trip.

“well worth it”
Reviewed May 20, 2014

Well thought out surroundings for the suspension bridge. very informative throughout the area, and well set up for children without it being childish - if that makes sense. the suspended bridges through the canopy of the trees was great fun and they made it fun for kids with a search and find booklet, there was even one for the grownups (which of course I had to do!) and got a certificate to prove it :) There was also a walkway along the cliff face of the gorge, hanging out about 20ft from the wall in places - amazing engineering. Well worth the time to chill and explore.

Absolutely fabulous experience. Crossing on the bridge was ok until some young bloods crossed and jumped up and down- very scary. The actual park was awesome, hard to believe it is so near a major city.

“WORTH THE VISIT”
Reviewed May 19, 2014

Nice place to enjoy a day outside. They have the suspension bridge, the treeptop walkways, which is was the most interesting to me, they also have the cliffwalk. They offer a free shuttle to the attraction from Canada Place. We had luch there at the Loggers Grill, food was ok., way overpriced, but you do get a lot of food (they should have smaller portions/smaller prices) but in places like this you expect overpriced food, so no big deal. You can go spend about half a day and see/do pretty much all of it. Then, spend the other half of the day on another adventure. Some say it is overpriced, but most things in Vancouver are expensive. I think it was worth it. Vancouver is a lovley city. Lots of great outdoor spaces. Everyone at every place we visited were so helpful and friendly. Vancouver is an awesome place to visit.
