My first time to the bridge and everyone is getting ready for Christmas. The lights are truly magical and the bridge itself is quite remarkable when you are standing in the middle and watching the river flow beneath you.

Lots of washrooms, trails on the ground and above the treetops. There’s a couple of places to grab a nibble or a coffee.

I was surprised at how expensive it was to enter, almost $50 for an adult. If you are a resident of Vancouver, it’s the same cost for a one time visit as it is for a yearly pass. Great perk for residents. Hard on the pocketbook for tourists. Lol.

Would be wonderful to visit at night right now with all the lights they have so cleverly arranged.

A fabulous spot for kids, teenagers, adults and the young at heart!

Last time was summer back around 2007-2008 enjoyed our time there and spend about three hours. Bridge itself is quite something and they have done a wonderful job with the treetops, skywalk and gift shop is one of the best in Vancouver

Mid November might be the best time to go, without either the summer or December holiday crowds. Regardless, Vancouver's Capilano bridge was a unique experience - walking on it while peering down towards the river hundreds of feet down, with bald eagles soaring through and the neat lights that turn on at dusk. A bit high priced but worth it!

There are plenty of other forested areas near Vancouver that is accessible if you have a car, but for people visiting this is a good way to see the temperate rain forest. Free shuttle from convention centre and a few hotels, and the suspension bridge is always a pleasure to see. The entrance ticket is quite expensive though, so choose carefully if you are short on time or the weather isn't being cooperative.

Went in the afternoon so the fairy lights had been turned on which made it even more beautiful. Felt like I was in a different world walking through the tree tops. Enjoyed the cliff walk - didn't get the adrenaline rush as advertised but if you're afraid of heights you might. Free shuttle bus is convenient and makes it easy to visit. Wear warm clothes as pretty chilly amongst the tree tops and out on the main suspension bridge. Allow about 2hrs as lots of photos to take along the way.

Calling all Tarzan's and Jane's!- . Cross the swinging bridge and feast on a stunning view below. Trek from one tree house to another suspended above a lush green rain forest. Finish off your visit with hair raising cliff walk- not for the faint of heart!

I had heard so much about the suspension bridge and yes, that is why I went. I was not expecting the breathtaking beauty of the rainforest. We were there in October and they were just starting to put up the Christmas lights. It was just beautiful! I would definitely go early and try to find a peaceful spot to take it all in. The totems are works of art. Walking from tree top to tree top was an experience that I had never even thought about before Capilano. Use your AAA card for a discount. Enjoy!

It's a cool place, but definitely comes with a bit of a price shock. Having said that, we spent a good 2.5 hours here. Don't do if you can't handle heights - the cliffwalk could be particularly unnerving. At the least, put it on your to-do list. I'd go again if I was in Vancouver when they do their nighttime lights thing.
