The line was long, ....we waited for 45min before being shown a table, and that was after reminding the usher we were still waiting. Then another 15 min, before a waiter took our order (pre-order w/ the checklist they give you at the usher station).....they did bring tea out to you almost immediately.
Ordered the standard 'har gao', 'siew mai', 'fun cheong' and also the 'foo peh kuen'. Also had the pan-fried taro cake (strips like a hash brown) and 'Cha siew bao'. Of all these, the best was the 'foo peh kuen'...which had really fresh prawns, and crispy beancurd skin. The 'har gao' and 'siew mai' were pretty good too, though not as good as Kirin's which we just tasted the day before (thus we could really compare). The pan fried taro cake was not bad either, but we needed chilli sauce to add some spice to it. BTW, we had to ask for the sauce, ...while at Kirin, they provided that as they seated you. For the 'Cha siew bao', it was better at Kirin's,....though it was not bad here.
Prices were pretty comparable w/ Kirin's....but the wait will be the deal breaker. Don't think it's worth the wait......they had lots of patrons though....so, go figure. Overall, the dim sum was good, just that long wait leaves more to be desired.
