“Beautiful Mall”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 21, 2013

During our 6 days 5 nights visit to Vancouver/Richmond, we went to Aberdeen Centre twice.

It is a relatively new mall with lots of shops and restaurants that caters to mostly Asians. it is clean and brightly lit. The first time we went was on a Monday night right before 7 for dinner in the food court. We were surprised to find out that the mall closes at 7 (Mon-Wed 7, Thurs-Sat 9). Luckily there are some restaurants in the food court that would keep open and take orders as long as there are customers.

The food court in Aberdeen Centre is not your run-of-the-mill food court with the likes of Panda Express and McDonalds. They offer restaurant quality food for fast food price. We had noodle soup where you can check off on an order form and pick from big selections of different soup base, meat, noodles, other ingredients (wonton, beef organs) and condiments to make you own noodle soup. We wished we had more time to make our picks as choices were pretty extensive. And it was delicious. Afterwards, we got our water and snack at the Korean Supermarket that was open until 9.

The second time we went we had dim sum at Fisherman's Terrace Seafood Restaurant (check separate review). While I can't say it was the best dim sum we've ever had, it was right up there on top of the list. After dim sum we looked at the shops. My wife bought a pari of shoes and couple of skirts. She said the price was a little high but of course there is always room to bargain when in an Asian store. So my wife got a good deal out of it. During a break we went to food court and had a Hong Kong style wonton soup and a refreshing Hong Kong style ice lemon tea. The portion was much bigger than we expected and they were delicious.

Since we went at closing time and the second time on a weekday afternoon, the parking was not that a problem as other reviews had indicated. And I swear I saw a shop that just sells toilet seats.

Next time we are in vancouver, we definitely will come to Aberdeen Centre again as we are nowhere near seeing all the shops and trying all the restaurants yet.

“Asian shopping mall!”

Japanese shop Daiso is nice ! Not really into the boutiques as the clothes quality are very cheap looking but ain't any cheaper than chain stores. Food court is really good though!

“terrific food court”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 17, 2013

The restaurants at the food court are terrific. You can find all kinds of delicious food you want in this food court. Besides the food court, there are many dine-in restaurants on the other side of the mall. They are good too.

“Upscale Asian Mall”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 4, 2013

The building itself is quite upscale for Asian Mall in comparison to other major city centers across Canada.....nothing comes close. Only a handful of stores remain the same with a majority of shops and restaurants constantly changing. This tells you something. The food court is unique because everything "Asian" for menu choices. Allow plenty of patience when it comes to the parking lot. A horrible experience everytime.
