“Interesting shopping mall”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 31, 2011

If you thought the Chinese influence in Vancouver is not very strong, you need to visit this shopping center. 3 floors of shops just like a traditional mall, except all the shops are targeted to Asian shoppers. Found bakery stores, a place that was making and selling fresh Chinese beef jerky, gift stores from Taiwan and Japan, and all the clothes shopping that makes for such a cosmopolitian city. Plenty of restaurant choices too for the traditional sit down, deem sum, kinds of foods. Big food court too. Don't come here for McDonald's or Burger King, but if rice plates, jook, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Japanese or Chinese food is what you crave, this is a good clean place to come visit and eat.

“Are we in Asia?”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 3, 2011

I was pretty shocked to see an Asian shopping center of this scale in North America, 3 levels of all-things-Asian (i.e. restaurants, snacks, apparel, shoes, jewelry, stationary, book stores, cosmetics, etc.). Last time I saw something like this was in Hong Kong. I spent most of my time on the second floor, inside the Daiso store. Make sure you have at LEAST 2 or 3 hours free to check things out.

“A mall for food”

Variety of good food. Daiso is a good place to shop. Other than that, not much else are attractive.

“Don't miss Daiso - and the food!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 7, 2009

One store not to miss! Japan offered their version of a dollar store "Daiso" during their depression - it's actually a $2 store and offers everything from $2 fake lashes, Japanese bowls, toys, housewares, underwear, snacks, blotting paper and much more.

The food court is awesome, try the deep fried chicken wings beside Tim's Dessert House. So good. Probably because it's loaded with MSG. BUT SO GOOD! That same kiosk also offers awesome snackie noodles. YUM! Then for dessert buy bearded papa's cream puffs, try the shaved ice dessert kiddie corner to Bearded Papa's kiosk, and head back to Tim's Dessert for the egg puffs. To do all this, you may need to go more than once. You won't regret it!!
