“Excellent Food and Service and Large Menu”
Reviewed August 23, 2014

We are so glad we found this spot for breakfast and wish we lived closer (there is a nice loyalty program). The menu is large insuring that everyone will find something to their liking and you don't need to be Dutch to appreciate the excellent pannekoek. We tried both savory and sweet pannekoek and thought they were all excellent. The proprietress is lovely and greeted regulars with true interest in their lives - one was coming for his pre-wedding meal with his best friend and vowed to make this his breakfast spot with his wife to be and not only on their anniversary; an older couple was greeted with a hug as one had been ill recently .... Though we were first-timers, we were extended the same warmth and interest without it being overly intrusive.

We strongly recommend this restaurant and guarantee you will not leave hungry (portions are big)!

“A Must”
Reviewed May 19, 2014

We had left Vancouver and expected to eat after the border crossing back to US. Signs indicated a 40 min wait at the crossing, and we decided to stop for brunch. GPS Indicated places nearby. We saw De Dutch in a small strip mall and would have missed it entirely otherwise. FANTASTIC food, toasties, fresh fruit, eggs prepared exactly as ordered (not too soft, not too hard, but just right!). Goldilocks I am not, but particular about eggs I am. The restaurant is spotlessly clean, nicely decorated, bright and cheerful. Service was efficient and friendly. There were many menu choices. My companion had the toasties and said they were better than what she had in Amsterdam. If you are in the area, don't let the location put you off.

“Got to try this restaurant”
Reviewed September 9, 2013

They serve these giant pancake / crepes with many different toppings/fillings you can choose. Crazy delicious and super nice folks. Wonderful hidden gem in Richmond was recommended by hotel staff and was well worth finding. The De Dutch Pannekoek is huge but light and very unique.
