“UPDATE: Wifi is in the rooms now (again?)”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 18, 2013

Stayed here again in August and pleased to say that the Wifi is either reinstated or fixed - and working fine in the room. It wasn't in June and when I asked at front desk, it was never explained as something that wasn't working - just that's the way it was. I used the small and too warm business centre instead (and wasn't very happy about it)

They still charged $14/day for parking though! Other than that, it's a good hotel in a great location, with comfy beds/linens. We'll stay there again.

Room Tip: There is a side street neaby if you don't want to pay for parking....

After waiting in a very long slow line to check in we found out why it took so long. For each guest there is an "opportunity" to say yes to an expensive room upgrade complete with a long, read aloud sales pitch. Upon arriving in our room, we discovered it to be really hot in the room. We turned the air conditioning on it's lowest setting but it would not cool the air much at all. There were no glasses in the room, just two coffee cups. As luck would have it the weather was cool in Vancouver so we opened the room window and went sightseeing. Upon returning, the outside air had cooled the room. However, when we closed the window, the temperature began to rise again even with the setting on the AC at 60 f. It would ordinarily be fine to just sleep with the window open, but this is an airport hotel! Just as you drift off to sleep, a jet aircraft roars by. Sleepless in Vancouver.

The hotel room is in general clean. TV quality is poor though. The road leading to the hotel entrance was a mess due to construction. We followed the GPS and we still had to make a couple U-turns and circled around a bit before finding the entrance. This is a good airport hotel at a reasonable rate (but you have to pay for parking). Front desk service was so-so as they let another guest to cut in front of me without letting him know I was in line waiting first.

Dear dkkam

Thank you for taking sharing your recent experience with us as it seems that we did not deliver in terms of the level of guest service at the time of check in and for that I do apologize. Also the construction is almost 100% complete along Russ Baker way so there should be no more disruptions.
Again, please accept my apologies for your stay and we look forward to you staying with us again and giving us another chance.

I found the mattress needs to be changed, very saggy. Main door did not fit well and you had to pull it shut. The Signature club was nice but not worth the extra cost. Not much to offer in the buffet. Found the quality of the TV poor. Great access to the airport, which counts the most.

Older looking hotel on the outside but quite a surprise once I got in to the lobby to find out that it was modern looking. Very courteous staff. Wifi was free which is always a bonus. The shuttle to and from the airport was very expedient and the driver was friendly.
Had to get used to the key card system for the elevator. Ok once you got used to it, but its something new to me.
Rooms was clean and quiet. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was clean and everything worked. There is a openable window in the room which is very handy.
Didn't use the pool because the weather was quite cool and the pool is outside. But it looked nice and clean.
Pier 73 had a good selection of food at hotel prices unfortunately, but they seemed to strive at everything being fresh and tasty with environmental concerns in mind.
The morning breakfast buffet was very good. Our buffet was included in the price of our stay as we were on business. Our server was excellent and very welcoming. Didn't get his name but he was great. Not sure if I would have paid the full price for the breakfast but again what other choices do you have.
Gift shop was nice and full of stock. Definitely would come back again.

Booked into the Delta for a furniture shopping expedition in Vancouver. Sounds odd but the location was quite good for down town and other locations. Friendly staff and good room facilities. Free WiFi but had to pay for parking (irritating but not uncommon). Pier 7 restaurant had great views; had a good meal on first night but not so good on third night. has a Starbucks on site.

Friendly staff.

Would stay again.

Did not use pool, spa or breakfast.

I have learnt the hard way not to do a random road trip to Vancouver on a Long Weekend. After searching for a hotel and having no luck we ended up here. There was one room left, and it was EXPENSIVE suite... but they gave us half a rate on it... so lucky. The room was amazing! The service was beyond amazing! and best of all there was all day shuttle to the airport sky train station, so we didnt have to drive to downtown just ride the skytrain.

I was afraid this random road trip was going to a nightmare, and we'd have to turn around and drive back home that same night, but thanks the amazing front desk staff at this hotel our trip was complete and we three shared a massive king bed.
