Seabreeze does an excellent job from beginning to end. The day started early (7:15 am) with Norm, a courteous and professional shuttle bus driver, picking us up at a nearby hotel in Yaletown. We made two more nearby stops to pick up other tour participants and soon were on our way to the tour company's office in Richmond. The friendly office staff gave us boarding passes. We were given about 30 minutes to walk to nearby shops and buy snacks and a light to-go lunch for the tour, which is convenient if you didn't arrange with Seabreeze to provide lunch when booking the trip. Either way, I highly recommend taking a light lunch because the tour is 4 to 5 hours long. The company does provide complimentary bottled water, coffee and granola bars on the boat.

Captain Lloyd did a fantastic job maneuvering our boat into an excellent position when we encountered whales and orcas. I mention this because he seemed to position the boat at just the right spot compared to the numerous other boats. It's worth noting that the Seabreeze boat is just the right size, with a capacity of around 25 people. Other companies use much larger boats that seem quite crowded and don't provide passengers the best views of whales and other wildlife. Our on-board naturalist was a young woman by the name of "Taz." Her passion for whales and orcas is obvious. She is highly knowledgeable and enthusiastically loves to share it. I would not hesitate to recommend Seabreeze Adventures & Whale Watching.

One important tip: The boat's propulsion engine is quite loud. Be certain to pick up a packet of disposable foam ear plugs at the front of the boat cabin. This is especially important for children; it's never too soon to protect their hearing.

Spend 3 hours on the boat travelling out to the whale area and we were lucky enough to see a minke whale. The guide was very good and informative and we stopped to see other wildlife as well. There was coffee and bars on board but was starving by the end of the day. By the time we got back we were over 5 hours at sea. A good experience and glad that we got to see a whale. Definitely bring a packed lunch with you!

I would recommend this trip to everybody. It was wonderful excursion. The captain gave us even extra 1 hour i think because the whales were not shy at all and they moved along the beach for long time. We followed them for more than an hour. I appreciate the interesting explanations of girl who was our tour guide. She is grate, very knowledgeable and she has a lot of experience with the whales. I love her sense of humor also. I learned at that day a lot of new and interesting things about these animals and it made me to respect them even more than I did before. They are so intelligent, so clever))))

The winds had been rough in the morning, but died down enough so that we could go out. Our guide, Sarah was very helpful and knew her stuff about the local wildlife. She went above and beyond by showing us the route we were taking, checking if we were comfortable and ensuring we were well-watered. The door-to-door service really helped too, as we were staying in downtown Vancouver.
Although we didn't get the chance to see any large whales, we did get to see some orcas from L-pod, lots of seals and several bald headed eagles. Plenty of photo opportunities with great results. A thoroughly enjoyable day out.

We had a fabulous day out. We were picked up and dropped off again at our hotel in vancouver which was great. The boat trip was fantastic - great weather and scenery and we really enjoyed the journeys out to and back from the whales. We saw three or four orcas from L pod as well as seals and bald headed eagles. Selena our guide was excellent and really knew her stuff. She was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable and very keen to answer all our questions. All in all, well worth the money and a great experience. Only downside was that I would like to have spent some time in steveston which looked lovely.
