I did alot of research before I booked with this company. It seemed like it would have suited our family and we weren't disappointed. We were amazed. I was fully prepared to pay $125 for my hubby and I and $100 for each of our 3 teens. When I told the lady that she didn't charge me enough, she told me that when I pay for 3, I get the fourth for free! What a God's blessing as the fee was alot for our family. The staff was very pleasant, as was our guide Claire. Claire was knowlegdeable a seemed to really be impressed with the viewing that we got to have that day. If you are picking one company over another, from where we left from, all the companies went to the same location (wherever the whales were that day). The ride out to the location was VERY choppy and my son got sick so I would recommend that even if you never get sick (like me), it wouldn't hurt to take a gravol (like I did - cause I wasn't feeling that great). we saw lots of whatle (guess it depends on the day). this company did tell us though that if we didn't see and whales, that would take us back the next day for free. They have a guarentee. We were impressed with this company and would recommend it to others.

I am a whale geek- I've watched whales in several countries, but the trip with Steveston Seabreeze Adventures was the best ever!! The boat was ideal for whale watching, with comfortable enclosed elevated seating and an open deck above. Captain Rick did an excellent job, first spotting sea lions and eagles, then taking us to the transient whale pod. We were fortunate enough to see 15-20 whales, including three babies. There were so many whales that I actually have photos of whales, rather than my usual "where whales used to be" shots.
Serena, the naturalist on-board, was extremely knowledgeable and interesting- She shared many stories and facts about the whales. Her enthusiasm and love for these magnificent creatures was contagious. She is obviously passionate about her work.
In addition to our excellent trip on the water, Steveston operates a free shuttle from the downtown Vancouver hotels. The driver was at our hotel promptly and was courteous and answered questions about the area. This was a great service.
Previous to booking our trip, I emailed and spoke with the woman who runs the operation. (Sorry, I don't know her name.) She was friendly and responded promptly to my queries.
Steveston supplies water, coffee and granola bars. Most of us brought additional food, which might be a good idea, since you could be out on the water between 3-5 hours. (And yes, there is a head-a bathroom- on board!)
Everyone on our trip had a wonderful time. The boat is small, holding about 24 people, and Serena made sure we all introduced ourselves- it was fun seeing all the countries represented on our trip.
I can not recommend this enough- You'd be very remiss if you didn't go on a whale watching tour with Steveston Seabreeze Adventures if visiting Vancouver when the whales are there!
