Cute stores for shopping, beautiful older buildings and the freshest fish and chips I have had in a long time.

“A nice stop for an hour or two”
Reviewed December 2, 2013

Steveston is a cute little part of Richmond that has fresh seafood and a variety of little boutique-y stores and restaurants. It's a nice stop if you're looking to walk around and browse for an hour or two. It's especially nice to go if it's sunny. The stores by the pier are touristy so be warned.

Worth making a trip out. There is a famous fish & chips shack called Pajo's. Not cheap but good quality food. Also you can buy fish, sea urchin and sometimes prawns from the fishing boats there. It's cheaper and much fresher than what you find at supermarkets.

Boutique stores, coffee shops, ice cream parlours, fresh fish off the boats, great restaurants, museums, terrific views along the board walk - what's not to like at Steveston ? When the sun is out, this place is magical, regardless of the season. I never get tired of this place.

Wonderful place to spend the day - coffee, food, books, cool little stores, historic buildings and tourist areas .... great place to eat, walk, tour. ... just be.
