“Amazing Staff”

This hotel has the most attentive staff of all hotels I have visited. When asked if I could move to a room with a King size bed instead of 2 doubles, it happened so quickly I was surprised. John at the front dest managed everything. Because I have 2 children (6 & 3 years old) I asked for a rollaway. Much to my surpise the bed was a twin bed that was rolled in on a dolly. Additionally I was upgraded to the 7th floor where the club lounge was located. The lounge was amazing and the staff were exceptional. Specifically, Nicholas who was attentive, helpful and kind. As a result of his assistance we went on a few day trips that the kids loved. Megan was very good with my children and would often ask if they wanted to watch cartoons during breakfast. She too had wonderful suggestions on places to visit and things to do. I can't wait to visit Vancouver again and stay at this hotel.

Nice hotel with shuttle from Vancouver Airport. Marriott and Hilton right next door. Starbucks in the lobby. Large, confernce hotel with three wings. Has nice pool/gym and other ammenities. Free internet terminals in the lobby (wireless is also free in the lobby) but connection is very slow. Parking fee is $16 per night.

Richmond has a very large Chinese population with plenty of wonderful asian restaurants and shops within walking distance from the hotel. Richmond Center, a large shopping mall, is located kitty corner from the hotel. Also walking distance to the new light rail extension, which takes you to Vancouver downtown in 15 minutes - driving takes 45 and you would have to deal with parking in the City.

Completely updated bathroom, comfy bed with the soft comforter. Very friendly housekeeper.

Would definitely recommend this hotel!

This property was recently remodeled and the results are fantastic. Beautiful lobby, bar, and meeting area, large comfortable rooms, plush beds, sparkling wash rooms. The only thing needing a bit of attention is the closure mechanisms on the guest room doors; some are worn out and slam loudly if guests are thoughtless. But all in all, a wonderful experience. Highlights include:
- Punctual, professional 24 hour airport shuttle
- Efficient check in
- Awesome fitness center
- Great food
- In-room Starbucks
- Good size TV with lots of channels
- Quiet location and good guest room windows
- Bright washroom and amenities
- Efficient desk and chair
- Mini fridge
- Fast, reliable internet (for a fee)
- Speedy room service
- Fast check out

Stay there; you won't regret it.

We [and many others] were 'stranded' in Vacouver from 17-23 April as a result of the Icelandic volcano and as guests of Thomson Ski and British Airways after a 10 day family ski trip in Whistler. This was a fraught and tense time for us all - no idea when the flights back to UK might resume, and missing home, family and work/school. The Sheraton staff coped immensely well. No fuss, lots of smiles, and some real customer care. Peter, the bistro manager was very friendly, and the concierge and front desk staff were very helpful. We were delighted to meet Harold [the bistro is named in his honour - he has taken lunch at the place for the past 30 years - what a character!], and used the hotel as a base to explore the wonderful city of Vancouver. Nice rooms. Comfortable bed. Free airport shuttle. Paid $190 a night.

Spent 2 nights here in January upon my arrival in Vancouver and a week later prior to my departure.

There were errors checking in on both occasions.

The free computers in their business center are unbelievably hard to log into...

What a great place to stay. Rooms were totally renovated, new super comfortable beds, new luxe bedding, clean, clean, clean bathroom. Great restaurants with delicious food. Friendly, knowledgeable staff were helpful with directions and things to do in the area. This is a rambling hotel. Hallways are bit of a rabbit warren, adding to the charm.

Beautiful Hotel with GREAT amenities & a good location. Best bed to sleep in!
Too bad the hotel service was terrible. 1. On my 2nd night, I was awoken at close to midnight by the front desk because they were confused by my reservation. 2. Waiter in restaurant never checked on us; we had to get up & go to the bar to get our own drinks. 3. There at the bar, we were treated rudely by the bartender. She was too busy talking to her friends & was upset she had to stop to serve a drink. 4. When I shopped in the gift shop, the cashier never spoke one word to me. I greeted him & thanked him, but did not receive any response. 5. We ran out of hot water 2 times in the shower.
Now, not all were bad. We received a free movie & breakfast for our troubles with apologies. The maid was very nice & a couple of other workers but the bad just out weighed the good.
