Stayed at the Holiday Inn Express for 4 nights as I went with my girlfriend for a wedding and a quick visit to Vancouver. Chose it for its close proximity to the airport and its available shuttle, due to the fact that we were not intending to rent a car during our stay. Was not disappointed, quick, on-time shuttle, short 10 min ride to the hotel. Very clean room, great staff very helpful. Available complimentary breakfact was advertised as a Premium Continental breakfast, and was exactly that; nothing special to write home about. No close restaurants which posed a problem for us as we did not have a car, only available restaurant was at the Sandman Hotel, a 10 minute walk along a VERY busy street with practically no sidewalk. But if you have a car, this would not be a problem. Downtown Vancouver is a 25 minute ride on the Public Bus, make sure to have change for the bus, the staff at the hotel can provide you with coins. Bus stop is a 15 minute walk from the hotel, very easy, but the walk might be too long for senior visitors. We found the bus ride enjoyable and very convenient. Good hotel for a quick visit.
