I have stayed 2 nights, the house is clean and tidy with good view. My host Joy and Howard are very friendly and good hosts. They helped me for my luggage since i am weak at heavy luggage. It is one of the best B&Bs I ever stay.

The view of the house and balcony is super, i have my breakfast in balcany, the breakfast is big and delicious which make my day. I enjoyed my visit very much. Thanks again Joy and Howard your hospitality.

I greatly recommended anyone would like to stay in a high standard B&Bs.

We arrived at Joy and Howards home, to be greeted with a warm welcome, Joy and Howard's home is a wonderful place to stay after a long flight, and before you set off to explore New Zealand. On the waters edge in the small town of Devonport, Auckland's skyline is the view from Admirals Landing - quite something in the evening. Davenport village is a unique, and Joy's knowledge of the area is amazing. Two minutes walk from restaurants and just a ferry ride from Waiheke Island and Downtown Auckland. We enjoyed our stay on arrival in New Zealand, and we returned to Joy and Howard's for two nights before we flew home - because we enjoyed Joy and Howards hospitality and their breakfasts, but also because we love Devonport as well - Many Thanks Again

It is some fifteen years since we last visited Auckland, this time we chose to try a B & B in Devonport rather than a hotel in the city. We were delighted with Admirals Landing, its location near the naval yards brought back memories for my husband who was once in the NZ Navy, its proximity to great restaurants within walking distance, the facilities of our spacious room with balcony on one side and view over the harbour on the other side and above all the kindness and attentiveness of our hosts Joy and Howard.
We enjoyed many conversations and appreciated their help in getting a rental car at very short notice to go for an easy day trip to superb Kawau Island north of Auckland. Devonport is a great location with Admirals Landing just across the street from the ferry, it was like a holiday town rather than a big city. You can easily take large suitcases on the ferry ( no steps) and save an exorbitant taxi fare to and from the airport.

This is an excellent place to stay. The hosts, Howard and Joy,could not have been more helpful and the breakfasts are amazing. Would we go back when we visit North Island again? Definitely.

Joy and Howard are the most wonderul and informative hosts you could wish for, nothing was too much trouble, we felt like part of the family.
A lovely clean waterfront room with a very comfortable bed ensured two wonderful nights sleep, followed by delicious breakfasts, the fruit platter was superb.
Devonport village is full of interesting shops, lovely cafes, restaurants and a lovely little beach with great views of Auckland.
On Joy's recommendation we took a trip on the ferry to the very pretty Waiheke Island for a wine tour- an excellent day.

Situated on the waterfront affording wonderful views of Auckland, with two minute access to the passenger ferry to the city centre. A peaceful spot for a good night's rest in lovely spotless accommodation. Hosts Joy and Howard are most friendly, helpful, generous and accommodating. They couldn't do enough for us, ensuring our time with them is unforgetable. New Zealand should be proud of them.

We had a wonderful, and by turns, extremely informative and restful stay. Joy and Howard were wonderful hosts with information and suggestions for everything that we might be interested in. Our rooms and our beds were very comfortable and when it came to breakfast, it seemed like the sky was the limit. Both our hosts and Devonport were very accommodating to the disparate needs of my teenage daughter and myself at this stage of our visit to New Zealand. My daughter enjoyed the close-by shopping and the opportunity to relax in her room and watch music videos in New Zealand TV. With the patient guidance of Joy, I visited a number of the reserve areas and parks within an easy 15 minutes drive where there were incredible temperate rain forests complete with tree ferns, palms and kauri trees. Joy also led us on a cultural landscape walk up Mount Victoria, where had a sunset view of Auckland and all the surrounding islands. Finally, we took advantage of the short ferry ride to take in Rangitoto Island and Auckland proper. It was a wonderful experience, thanks to Joy and Howard! Lucky us!
