The museum itself is beautifully set out and incredibly interesting. Not too much to take in so you feel like lingering longer at all the stations. The little cafe down there is a great finish with the best harbour view for a cafe in Auckland. Even better when TNZ is out racing.

Plenty of interest for adults. Also worth paying the $1 for the 'museum detective' activity to keep kids entertained.

Very informative, well done to those have created this museum. It puts into perspective some of the horror our men went through during that time. Thank you for showing us their lives. Cafe has great food and coffee, there was also a new play ground for the kids. (supervision needed though as close to water and no childproof fencing, but it's museum not a daycare,)

We visit the Naval Museum every school hols because it runs a great holiday activity program. The museum itself is free and well worth a visit, with plenty of info/exhibits presented to suit all. The activity program is $5 and great value for money. The cafe is great, the new play area a huge bonus, and the view is awesome, even on a rainy day. Especially nice to visit in the run up to ANZAC day, and teach the kids a little more history.
If it stays as popular as it is, it's going to need a larger car park!!
