“total peace and privacy”

What a great find!! We were looking for peace and quiet, away from the rat race for a week. We arrived, after winding our way through the beautiful Rambla Honda, to a house perched on the top of a hill. I was a little worried that we were too far off the beaten track but Karen was there to meet us and help us find our bearings. Within a couple of days we had met the neigbours - all of them very friendly and helpful and found our way around the area. The village of Lubrin is only a 5 minute drive away, a typical white washed Spanish village, where there are some lovely little bars and a good restaurant. To be honest we didn't stray too far from the house as the peace and quiet and the amazing views were intoxicating and just what we needed to recharge our batteries. The house is simply furnished but has everything you need and the ice cold glass of wine in the evenings whilst sat outside gazing up the valley was the best. We have booked again already for another week! There is a good mobile reception and all the electrical items in the house worked at the flick of a switch, so although it says the house is solar powered, which it is, you'd never really know. This is rural Spain at its best, where goats and goat herders still walk the valley with the familiar sound of tinkling bells.
